Only a few steps from Costa Rica's finest beach. This charming two bedroom home, with Frank Lloyd Wright-styled French doors and windows, is artfully decorated and extremely comfortable. Each air-conditioned bedroom has it's own private full bathroom and the firm, comfortable king-size beds which are topped with luxurious feather beds and comforters with fresh duvets and the linens are excellent quality, high thread count cotton. The Kitchen and Living Room is spacious and airy with high ceilings detailed with beautiful local hardwoods and plenty of sun-drenched windows.
The large outdoor covered patio/porch is classically tiled and perfect for lounging and dining. It overlooks a private pool that has been described by the locals as 'The Sexiest Pool in Playa Grande'. The property is totally surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens which offers privacy for guests and the many exotic birds, butterflies, and other flora and fauna that call this cozy casita their home.

My wife and I and our two friends had a great time. This was our 3rd trip to Costa Rica, but the 1st time we stayed in Playa Grande. A quick 200 yards or so to the beach and several restaurants and a store all within walking distance as well. Mike is great and his place very nice. Comfortable beds and cold AC. The American standard I guess. The entry road into Palm Beach Estates was a little rough due to the extended rainy season. A 4 wheel drive is recommended, but not mandatory. We choose to get one because we knew we would be traveling off the beaten path. Overall an"awesome" time. Thanks Mike.
The house was awesome with everything you could have wanted. Mike the owner is so helpful in many ways. Months ahead of time I asked Mike tons of questions and they were answered asap. The beach is about a 1 min walk away to what I would consider a private huge beach, with white sand and tons of shells. The only set back was that we went when the 3 restaurants outside of the house gate were closed for the month of October. All and all there were 4 of us who enjoyed it and had a great time.
Home away from Home.
The house was amazing. Well kept and clean.
The pool was amazing. Mike would come and clean it every morning. You wouldn't even know he had been there.
The beach was minutes away. One of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life. The beach was super private not more then 5 people on the whole beach at a time. The beach was covered in shells. Just covered.
The near by town was only a walk a a short boat ride away. Lots of pubs and places to eat. More touristy.
Mike was wonderful! He was took really great care of us.
This was place great for family fun or alone time with your spouse.
We will be back!
Our time at Palm Beach # 54 was absolutely perfect! Mike, the owner, was warm and gracious. He even went so far as to have fruit, cold beer, and chilled waters upon our arrival. The home was spacious and inviting, and only steps away from the beach. The place was squeaky clean and very accurately described online. The king beds were huge and comfy and the bathrooms spacious and well appointed. Each room had a separate air conditioning unit with convenient remote control. It is fully equipped with lockable storage safes, cable TV and high speed internet. We so enjoyed eating breakfast each day on a beautiful patio overlooking a gorgeous pool. Palm Beach Estates 54 is a convenient, secluded and SAFE location. The home made for an amazing, relaxing escape for our family of four. Mike and the people of Playa Grande are absolutely the nicest! We couldn't have been happier! We highly recommend this rental. Don't miss this one!
A great location if you like a quiet, peaceful setting very close (3 min walk) to a great beach with few people around. A great place for surfing or just hanging around the beach. The villa is very private, surrounded by the "jungle". No disturbances, you can hear and see all the birds and the wildlife around you.
The villa matched the description provided, a great pool and the amenities you need, it is air-conditioned in every room (3 separate units), kitchen, washed dryer, etc. Mike come early to clean the pool from leaves, etc. every morning and never bothered us. The high speed internet (WiFi) worked flawlessly all the time.
A couple of restaurants with great Costa Rican food are in walking distance, they are very reasonably priced, and very friendly and helpful with suggestions and accommodating your taste; of course you can get burgers too but then you don't have to go to Costa Rica.Tamarindo town/beach is a 30 min drive and has endless number of restaurants, it can also be reached by watertaxis durind the day
One recommendation, you better have a 4 WD car to get to the place and around, the roads are rough.
Overall, if you want peace and quiet to relax and take it easy it is a great place to go, if you want the bars, the tourist crowd, nightlife, etc you should go to a resort in Tamarindo or just stay in Miami
My son had and I spent a wonderful week here. The home was wonderful, the pool was fantastic, the beach was beautiful and so close. Mike, the owner is so nice and welcomed us with a wonderful basket of tropical fruits, bottled water and cold beer! He also comes every morning very early to clean the pool, and is easily reachable by phone/email should you need anything, a real pleasure! There are cute little cafe/restaurants within walking distance, a small produce store to pick up fruit/veggies, water, soda, wine, chips, medicine, etc.. We rented a bike ($10) for the entire day, and biked all around the neighborhood and area. Also took a water taxi to the 'bigger' town Tamarindo across the estuary, as well as an estuary tour. We had a car and so drove all over, and also signed up for the One Day Adventure Combo at Hacienda Guachipeli - what a day! Zip lining (9), Tarzan Swing, horseback riding, swimming by the waterfalls, repelling and lunch! Highly recommend. My son also took surf lessons at the beach next to the house, from Frijoles Locos, the local Surf Shop - he loved it and did great! And of course, we also loved coming home to Mike's wonderful place and relaxing, having dinner outside on the patio, and of course enjoying the pool! * If you rent a car, highly advise to rent a 4x4, even a small one - many of the roads in Costa Rica are bumpy/pot holes/dirt roads, etc.
Thank you Mike! Pura Vida!
