About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

This house sits on 2 acres of land along the bay at the end of a quiet dead end road. It is a truly wonderful home with all the charms of another era combined with the modern comforts of today. The furniture is a mixture of comfortable modern furniture and antique furnishings. The main house has a living room, family room, four bedrooms, a large eat-in kitchen, and a full bath. The addition has one bedroom, a living room, full bath, and an eat-in kitchen. For your enjoyment, the house has a Bose wave radio with cd player and ipod adapter. There is also a wonderful outdoor enclosed shower. This house is perfect for an extended family. People from Wellfleet love this home and will tell you it is one of the nicest spots in Wellfleet and very private. The original house was built in the 1700's and the addition in the 1800's.

The house is a few hundred steps to Uncle Tim's Bridge( walking bridge), which brings you into to Wellfleet Center. There are walking paths along the ocean directly in front of the house. It is a short walk to restaurants and shops and approximately a mile walk to a beautiful bayside beach, tennis courts, basketball court, and playground. You can dig for mussels right from the property. Provincetown is a short 20 minute drive away.

This is an original, antique cape house with beautiful views of the harbor. You and your children will love this house and the ample room you have to explore the outdoors in a truly private picturesque setting. You can spend your time here and never feel the need to get into your car. There are more pictures available on request.

tranquil

  • 5 of 5

This was the most relaxing vacation I've had in years...the tides, the starry nights, Scrabble on the deck. This was my first foray to Cape Cod, and this home is spectacularly everything I imagined and then some--extremely comfortable and casual--and our small group was charmed from the moment we crossed the threshold. The location is quiet and private, but with the network of walking paths and proximity to town, everything we wanted or needed was conveniently nearby. This was the first time I've used VRBO, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property, and plan to return.

This is Cape living at it's best

  • 5 of 5

I lifted my head from my pillow this morning and looked at that gorgeous view one last time and thought.....I'll be back. This is everything a vacation should be and Cape Cod living at it's best. The house is absolutely charming with everything you could ask for. The written description of the house is right on the money but the pictures don't even come close to doing it justice.

I rented the house for a week for my son's wedding. There was plenty of room for all the relatives with plenty of comfortable beds to accomodate everyone. I had a small dinner party the evening before the wedding and I don't really think it would have mattered what I served for dinner. The view of the harbor at dusk with the boats and the lights took everyone's breath away. The owner recently built a magnificent deck off the back of the house that's perfect for dining or sunning. I took all my showers outside just because I could....but the bathrooms were clean and plenty big enough. One bathroom had an old fashioned cast iron tub. The kitchen was well stocked with every cooking appliance I required. Wonderful for biking and taking long walks. A 10 minute walk across the bridge and you're in the center of town near wonderful restaurants and a market. You'd be hard pressed to find more beautiful beaches than in the Wellfleet/Truro area. I'm a frequent user of VRBO and this was definately one of my favorite properties. As far as the owners of this property...we couldn't have asked for better. I had many questions before I moved in and they were always accomodating. I'd give this property a strong A+.
