About Beverly Esh

Jake and Becky and their nine children live about half an hour away from this house. We built our cape-cod home in 1990 and lived their until the fall of 2009 when we moved to Honey Brook for mission purposes. Our home is built on an acre of the family farm. The farm, still in the family, is owned by Jake's youngest brother and borders the back of the yard. Jake's parents live next door and maintain a lot of the home and it's grounds. Our favorite part of this home is the safe and peaceful neighborhood surrounded by Amish homes and farmland.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a wonderful vacation we had at your guest house! Thanks so much for sharing it with our family of #11 plus one on the way. The house and yard were fully adequate. We enjoyed the tether ball, butterfly garden, sandbox, campfire, and climbing tree in the backyard. Couples enjoyed the swing on the front porch. This location is great! I hope to return.

God really blessed us through you and your family. One of our families went to the "Joseph" show. I have seen it twice. Steve has seen it once.

May God continue to wonderfully bless you and your family,
Aug 2010

The property was everything described. Clean and fully furnished in a quiet area close to town. Would love to go back!

Family Holiday Gathering

  • 4 of 5

The holiday decorations at and the general cleanliness of the home were appreciated. The Kitchen is spacious with adequate equipment for cooking. The furniture was comfortable. No bath room in lower level so keep that in mind when considering who sleeps in downstairs bedroom. Back yard was a nice size and our 3 year old enjoyed the equipment while playing there as well as the playroom in lower level. Bottled water and washer and dryer were nice surprises and appreciated. Within a few miles of the home is the Pennsylvania Rail Road Museum which comes highly recommended by our children and adults.

Observations: Several light bulbs were burnt out but replacements were on site. Some of the bed rooms had less light than what we are used to. Hot water was burning hot and a concern for small children’s safety. While hand and dish soap are provided, shower soap is not.

Very nice and warm feel to the house

  • 5 of 5

House is very nice, T.V. in basement would be nice.

About a week before arriving I had to change stay by one day and Mrs. Esh was very kind to credit my account.

Look forward to staying again.

Great weekend!

  • 5 of 5

The house had everything we needed, ample stocked kitchen, nice play area in the basement. The only thing I would suggest is a TV in the basement, there is a nice comfortable entertainment seating area a TV would be nice. Thank you for sharing your home. We will be back next year same time!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This house provided everything we needed for our group, lots of bottle water for making coffee/tea, clean, and lots of space. Internet/wifi was a little slow but it was fine as we wanted more human interaction.
