THESE ARE TWO IDENTICAL UNITS SO CONTACT OWNER FOR AVAILABILITY. Modern building completed in 2008 and awarded the Best Building built in the Downtown Historic District by the Historic Commission. with full private roof top patios. These are two beautiful homes in the center of downtown. Each unit and entire building is secured with individual alarm system monitored by camera and Alarms. Cameras are located around the building and recorded with a DVR. Main entry is coded entry lock, tenants are ask to lock when coming and going out. Garage is key coded entry also. The comfort, quality and ease to walk and never use the car is a perfect vacation. Go and get anything, or do anything is a luxury. Quality built the roof top decks with total privacy, mountains, valley and the town views 360 degrees. There's a great soaking tub in the master bathroom, by Victoria Albert, separate spray wand, lumbar supports at both ends of the tub so two can sit with comfort. Private underground parking is provided. The home is immediately located a few hundred feet from the Shakespeare theaters' (one half block), Lithia park & plaza (two blocks), shops (all around), and Bear Creek (two blocks). Eating establishments abound. The Varsity Movie theatre is across the street as is coffee at Star-bucks, Cafe 112 next door, and Mix Sweets at the plaza, the Muse fine dinning on the same block. Saturday morning farmers market is one block away.
I should note the tenant on the street level below my home is a Spa, so if there is a need for massage, facials, hair styling, waxing and other enjoyments your only moments away. This is a full natural material salon.
This unit consist of two large bedrooms, sleeps 4 and there is a den for private theatre use, or playing video games without disturbing anyone. The Living room is large with lots of light and glass doors, not only at the living room but on all levels, opening up with Juliet Balconies.
The fourth floor has a wonderful brick tiled deck with views throughout the entire valley, and all of down town. The home was built in 2008 and has all the modern conviences. Besides all light from the glass doors at each end of the unit, the center of the unit over the living room and between the upper bedrooms are lit further by a large skylight thats located on the roof deck and light shines down through all levels adding more light. Full appliances including stacked washer and dryer, Four large LCD TV's, sound system with five separate zones including the roof deck, and a strong wireless connection.
This is truly one of the most livable and comfortable places in the Northwest where you can take in the sites and pleasure of the beautiful North west country and the historic community and be in the middle of all the action while tucking yourself away in modern comfortable privacy.
Close to Shakespere Theaters, Movies, Dinning, rafting, park, swimming, skiing, camping, mountains and Bret Festival.
Either unit can, with privacy, sleep four people, each has full private baths, with one half bath on the lower level.

This home is my private residence and was built in 2008. I'm a developer and most of my project work over the years were in Southern California. It's amazing here. In California I lived on the beach and did a lot of sailing, and I traded the beach for the restive area here. I hardly ever drive my car because I'm in the center of town and can get anything I want anytime. I like to travel too, so I thought why not rent the house out while I'm away. I moved to Ashland Oregon in 1996 because it had all the cultural activities as I had in California but was much better because I also had easy access to the rivers, lakes, mountains where I can ski, sail, hike and just get outdoors. This is just a little jewel of a city hidden away and sometimes I think I get to live in Disneyland's downtown main street, because that's just what it looks like.
Because Ashland has so many cultural activities from theatre to foreign film festivals, the Brit musical festival is just 10 minutes away in Jacksonville too. It's a short 25 minute ride in the country to get to. With all this and the benefits offered from the mountains and rivers in the Northwest what more can a person ask for when trying to get away from it all.
The location couldn't be better - right smack in the heart of downtown Ashland, a quick walk to the theaters, and surrounded by great shops, restaurants, etc. The townhouse is gorgeously modern, and a wonderful place to share the Shakespeare festival with family. It was all good, but the roof top decks are amazing. 365 degree views of the surrounding hillside, and gorgeously comfortable lounges, chairs, and tables to enjoy it. We had a wonderful visit - the owner Robert Kendrick keeps the units in top condition. If you're looking for a sophisticated pied-a-terre in the heart of the theater district of Ashland, this is the spot. Will definitely be coming back!
Located in the best place, furnished and outfitted as if the owners themselves live there full time, this place is 5+ stars. Everything we needed for the week we stayed we had. Right down to covered car parking, to resort comfort bedding and pillows and more. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to rent from an owner that takes pride in his rentals, and hasn't furnished it from IKEA or the Salvation Army. Can't wait to be back in January!!!
We enjoyed our stay in Ashland, hiking, wine tasting, great restaurants and shopping. The townhouse is very contemporary, beautifully designed and furnished, with exceptionally comfortable furniture, soft atmospheric lighting, and flat screen televisions everywhere. The inter-room music system is wonderful; but we wished we had had better instruction on how to use it. The kitchen was well stocked but some missing wine glasses which meant that four people could often not have the same type of glass. We did not do a lot of cooking (Ashland has so many amazing restaurants), but appreciated kitchen in the morning for breakfast and the rooftop patio for pre-dinner appetizers.
For the most part the townhouse was spotless, the bedding was very high quality and would only suggest they clean the area rug in the living room soon. The shower were indeed small and the only real disappointment was that the beautiful tub in the master was out of order and I was specially looking forward to a long soak each evening.
The view from the fourth floor outdoor patio is spectacular, just as advertised, and we were able to use in several times when the sun cooperated.
This townhouse is private, but do be aware that there is some road noise which is to be expected in the city and the Club across the alley is open until 2am and it was often quite loud for our friends staying in the rear bedroom. The up side is that the townhouse sits right in the heart of downtown Ashland, about a one-minute walk from theaters or Starbuck's coffee, just around the corner from Amuse Restaurant, Alchemy, Smithfield's and Standing Stone Brewery just to name a few.
What a great location! Beautiful condo within walking to just about everything. Rooftop deck and whole house sound system are awesome. Lots of stairs, but this girl with a defective heart pushed on. I would recommend towel bars in the bathrooms...there's no place to hang towels. The showers are ridiculous...way too small and cramped, and I'm a petite lady. This is definitely a property I will look at staying again.
My husband and I loved this townhouse. It's very contemporary, beautifully designed and furnished, with exceptionally comfortable furniture, soft atmospheric lighting, and flatscreen televisions everywhere. The inter-room music system is superb; the owner showed us how to use this, and we enjoyed it no end. The kitchen is elaborate and stocked with everything a person might need. Though we did not do a lot of cooking (Ashland has so many amazing restaurants--Peerless, Amuse, Sesame, and others), we appreciated elegant wine glasses, dishes of all sorts, and ample refrigerator space for wine, chocolate, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. A comfortable dining area provided a terrific place for entertaining our grown children, who live in town and stopped by for wine and take-out food from Sesame (outrageously good, by the way). The shower took a bit of getting used to since we tried to be very careful not to get water on the wood floors. We conquered it, though. And otherwise, everything worked beautifully. The townhouse does go up four floors, so if stairs are an issue, that would be something to think about. We liked all those stairs, actually, since we had built-in exercise--plus the drama of a multi-story home undeniably added to the ambiance. The view from the fourth floor outdoor patio is spectacular, just as advertised, and we'd have used it much more had it been just a bit warmer during our stay. We particularly appreciated the private indoor parking and exceptional security system. This townhouse is truly private, and I've never felt safer. Above all, the location is unbeatable. The townhouse sits right in the heart of downtown Ashland, about a one-minute walk from theaters or Starbuck's coffee, just around the corner from Amuse Restaurant, and (get this, shoppers), just across the alley from the back entry to Paddington Station (downright dangerous for a Paddington fan like me). We would definitely consider going back, and would surely recommend this property to friends.
Immediate access to all Shakespeare Festival theatres, all within a few minutes walk, as well as movie theatres. Film festival held annually is across the street. Brit Music Festival held in summer is short driving distance.
