The Diekhuus Arngast is centrally located in the middle of Dangast and only 200 meters from the beach. Since no road passes the property, peace is guaranteed. Sporty people can jump right here: high on the dike, and then with Jadebusen-Panorama just in one direction (or the other). Within a 3-minute walk are: the beach, the shopping market Pieper, the sea water source, the Wadden Sea Portal, the beach club sundeck, two bike rentals, restaurants and cafes. Important for children: you do not need to cross a road to get to playgrounds or the ice cream parlor. To the old Kurhaus and to the harbor you have unfortunately something further: about 7 minutes on foot. ;-) The former fishing village Dangast is located on a Geere Ridge, which rises a few meters above sea level. That sounds like little, but it offers the possibility - almost unique at the North Sea - of overlooking the extensive coastal landscape and the Wadden Sea World Heritage. In the past, she even saved people's lives. For while villages like Dauens or the parish of Arngast sank into the terrible storm tides, the former island of Dangast even found its way back to the mainland. On the Geere Ridge the first North Sea bath was built in 1814. Today still testify to the Old Spa House and the Klause am Steindeich. The former insularity of Dangast still makes you feel: It only leads in and out of Dangast. Unlike many other North Sea resorts, there is no through traffic. Rest is the result. The Diekhuus with its large, mature garden is still far from any street. Here you can not hear a car, no train, no plane.
