A beautiful Casita in Old Mesilla, it is located about 6 homes and a church from the Plaza. This Casita has the distinction of being walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Old Mesilla, while still secluded and quiet.
It is close to all the great restaurants of Old Mesilla, La Posta, The Double Eagle, Andele's, the Bean, and many more.
Perfect for the most avid bird-watchers. Casa de Rosie is located on Calle del Norte, one of the few roads that cross the Rio Grande. Also, the Mesilla home is located on the major North/South migratory routes of many bird species.

Rosie moved to Mesilla in 2004 from Park City, Utah. The Southern sun was calling her.
Jasmine, a Belgian Malinois dog adopted Rosie.
Rosie Martinez purchased this house in 2004
Rosie spotted her new home from the plaza on the first day she arrived in Mesilla. If that home were for sale, I'd move here... and the rest is history.
The double wall construction of the home (2 2x,6) extra tall ceilings, beautiful courtyard, wonderful casita.... such a close walk to everything.
We had such a wonderful romantic evening in this Mesilla charmer, just blocks from La Posta and the plaza. Clean, quiet, quaint. It has it all, along with the wonderful hostess Rosie, who is a great cook! PERFECT!
We stayed here one night, to break up a long road trip - and it was great. Rosie was super helpful and accommodating, and the place was clean and pretty.
The fully furnished Casita made my stay very comfortable, restful, and exciting. A short walk for the beautiful Mesilla Plaza and the elegant Double Eagle Restaurant and Lounge, I experienced the 16th of September Fiesta like a native. Rosie is eager to make your stay enjoyable and is an interesting hostess - she knows a lot about Mesilla and the nearby Rio Grande Bosque Park. Enjoy a taste of "folklorico-meets-modern" in this beautifully adorned Casita. The master bedroom in the house is beautiful and private also.
