Enjoy this tastefully decorated 3 bedroom/2 bath/sleeps 10 two-story townhouse. You can relax at the house and still enjoy the sun, view, & sounds of the beach on one of the three decks.

IMPROVEMENTS TO DATE:

2018 - Replaced washer/dryer.

2017 - Replaced stairway carpet, new mattress on master bedroom queen bed, replaced master bedroom quilts, replaced queen bedroom quilt.

2016 - New room darkening blinds in back 2 bedrooms, new dishwasher, 2 new adirondack chairs on 1st floor deck.

2015 - 1st & 2nd floor decks were replaced on front of building, 2 new chairs in living room, upgraded living room TV to a 50", replaced living room entertainment center, purchased blue ray DVD player for living room, upgraded master bedroom TV to a 32", replaced living room area rug, replaced quilt in bunk bed room,

2014 - replaced roof.

2013 - replaced full bed in bedroom 3 with a pyramid bunk (twin over full); installed a closet organizer in bedroom 3; replaced storage closet doors.

2012 - replaced rear slider; replaced queen bed in master bedroom; replaced queen bed in 2nd bedroom; installed closet organizer in 2nd bedroom; replaced bedspreads in master bedroom; replaced picnic table; replaced bar stools; replaced plumbing under house and added warm water to the outdoor shower

2011 - complete renovation of 2nd floor bath; painted 2nd floor hall; installed new window treatment in dining area; replaced all 2nd floor baseboards; replaced 2 blankets

2010 - complete kitchen renovation; ripped out carpets throughout and had downstairs hardwood floors refinished; renovated downstairs bathroom; replaced living room TV; replaced both front sliders; installed new window treatment in living room; re-decorated

LOCATION - LOCATION - LOCATION:

Located ocean side on 78th street in midtown Ocean City, MD, Captain's Bridge #2 is just a few steps to the beach. No high rises and very little development on the bay side make 78th street very quiet and this beach is one of the least densely populated in Ocean City! It's a great spot for families with children and couples who want a truly restful vacation. Within walking distance to some great restaurants and a short drive to the grocery store. Bus service is terrific here.

KITCHEN:

Renovated in 2010, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and stools features refrigerator, dishwasher, oven with smooth top range, built in microwave, and garbage disposal. The kitchen also provides all utensils, plates, cookware, baking dishes, coffee maker, toaster, and blender.

LIVING ROOM:

The spacious living room offers a queen sleeper/sofa along with several accent chairs, custom made window treatments, LCD flat screen TV, DVD/VCR Player, and ceiling fan. Walk outside to the front deck and view the ocean over the dunes or sit in a rocker and enjoy the sounds of the ocean.

DINING AREA:

The dining area comfortably seats 6 adults and provides plenty of storage for napkins, extra food, etc. in the side table and corner cabinet. Alternatively, walk outside to the rear deck and eat your meal at the picnic table that seats 10. Slider off dining room was replaced in 2012.

MASTER BEDROOM:

The spacious master bedroom features a queen bed (replaced in 2012) and a full sized bed, 2 side tables and lamps, full length dresser and mirror, TV, ceiling fan, iron and ironing board, and a nice sized closet. Enjoy views of the ocean while relaxing in bed or walk outside to a private balcony with fantastic views of the ocean and distant views of the Assawoman Bay. You can enjoy both the sunrise and sunset from this one balcony while relaxing to the sounds of the ocean from the double chaise or one of the wicker chairs.

BEDROOM 2:

This cozy bedroom features a queen bed (replaced in 2012), side table and lamp, and a nice sized closet with a closet organizer containing drawers (closet organizer new in 2012).

BEDROOM 3:

This cozy bedroom is decorated in a nautical theme and features a pyramid bunk bed (twin over full) (new in 2013), side table and lamp, and a nice sized closet with a closet organizer containing drawers (closet organizer new in 2013).

1ST FLOOR FULL BATH:

This very clean full bath provides a stand up shower. It was renovated in 2010 with a new sink/vanity, toilet, floor, and is warmly decorated in a sunrise yellow with white bead board.

2ND FLOOR FULL BATH:

Completely renovated in 2011 with new shower, sink, toilet, floor, walls, and fixtures.

PARKING:

2 private parking spaces in the rear provide stress free parking. Additional first-come-first-served private parking spaces are also available in the rear. Public parking is available on the street in front of the building.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:

Original pine hardwood floors throughout (with area rugs for comfort), tongue and groove pine beamed ceilings add character to this spacious town home. A warm private shower in the rear provides comfort when rinsing off after returning from the beach. From the shower, walk up several steps to the back deck and store your beach equipment in the outside storage area. You enter the house from there to return to the comfort of home.

OUR PHILOSOPHY:

We have a lot of pride in our property and want all of our guests to have a very comfortable stay. We strive for a very clean, up to date, well decorated property. Our housekeeper takes a lot of pride in her work. All of our guests have been extremely happy with the cleanliness upon arrival. We spend time before every rental season making improvements to our property so all items are in working order, up to date, and comfortable (See above for the list of improvements we have made.). We supply many starter amenities so you have less to pack and don't need to run to the grocery store right away. After every rental, we ask our guests for suggestions for improvements and make as many as possible during the next off season. We hope you will enjoy our property as much as we do!

Why Debbie and Karl Dagg chose Ocean City

Our parents owned a condo in Ocean City. They took it off the rental market the summer of 2009; we were able spend some time there with our 3 kids. They were at an age when going to beach was finally manageable. We really enjoyed our trips and considered purchasing a unit of our own as theirs was being sold. It was just an 'dream' and one that we thought wouldn't happen for a long time. We ended up stumbling on this townhouse. It needed a lot work; it was in great condition, just very dated. We fell in love with the uniqueness of the unit with it's beautiful hardwood floors and beamed ceiling and the proximity to the beach couldn't be beat. With 3 young kids it was ideal. We ripped up the 30 year old carpets, renovated one of the bathrooms, and had the kitchen renovated. It is now a very comfortable and charming place to stay. We have done many additional renovations since that first year!

What makes this townhome unique

We make many trips to and from the beach during the day. It's no big deal because our unit is so close. When our kids nap we relax on the double chaise lounge off the master bedroom and listen to the ocean. We don't feel tied to the house; we are still enjoying the outdoors and the beach while relaxing on the deck. We love that the street is relatively quiet with no high rises and no development on the bay side.

I just had to let you know how much we appreciate the pride you and Karl take in your O.C. home. Your kitchen is fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. Your decorating is extremely tasteful – I believe I mentioned how nice it was to have table top space to put our stuff. We didn’t have to re-arrange a thing to accommodate our family. I love the hardwood floors too. Carpeting does not hold up very well in beach homes I think. Hardwood floors look nicer and are easier to clean.



Also, we love the location and the parking availability – these things are very important to us. And we appreciated the amenities provided like paper products and soap. Nice not to have lug all of that stuff with us. Much easier to just replace the items we used.



We had a great week at your place and the weather was very good. Started out chilly but got increasingly warm as the week progressed. I know it’s a whole year away but I can’t wait to come back.

The place was maticolous. Nicely updated and made me feel like I could live there.

It was great being so close to the ocean where you could hear it going to sleep. I could easily live there. The communications with the owners was great. Would highly recommend renting this place anytime if the year. I will surely be back!! Thank you again!!

Beautiful beach house steps from the beach

This is a charming beach townhouse that is steps from the beach. It was very convenient being able to have our kids walk back and forth from the house to the beach on their own. We loved having 3 bedrooms, and having the bedrooms, and having two floor meant more privacy. The two decks on the front were lovely for sitting and talking. From the balcony upstairs, you can see the ocean. There is a shower and foot wash in the back which is very convenient when coming back from the beach. The kitchen was modern and well -stocked. Also, the owners were very responsive and friendly with all communications. We would definitely recommend this property to others seeking a beach vacation at OC!

Wonderful place to stay

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. We loved being so close to the beach. The back porch is a great spot to store all the beach gear, the kitchen was well stocked and organized, the living room very comfortable to relax in. We also enjoyed the padded lounger on the second floor balcony, great for a nap! Will definitely stay again. Debbie was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Thank you!

So close to the beach!

Have been staying at Captains Bridge #2 for several years now and we really love the house and the location cannot be beat. With small children, it's great to be so close to the beach for walks back and forth. And it's such a quiet street, we can be outside and not worry about lots of cars driving by. The house is well kept and the owners are very responsive to any suggestions we might have for the house. It's a great beach rental!

Our SECURITY DEPOSIT is higher for 1st time renters to protect ourselves. We return it all unless there is a problem. Our house keeper calls us upon checkout to report the condition and assuming there aren't any problems (which we haven't had as of yet), we return the security deposit at that time.
