The 'A' train is just a 15 minute express ride to Manhattan. The apartment is in close proximity to Prospect Park, Brooklyn Academy Of Music (B.A.M), Atlantic Mall, Restoration Plaza and Barclay Center. The home of The Brooklyn Nets and one of the best entertainment centers in New York. There are plenty of local restaurants and late night stores in the area. The apartment is perfect for a couple, but can accommodate three close relatives or friends. It has one queens size bed and one futon (sofa bed). The futon is more comfortable for one person, but can sleep two small children. This is a private studio apartment that comes with everything you would expect to find in your home. Kitchen, bathroom, free wifi, cable TV and more. This is your 'Home away from home'.

Met our needs and our expectations

We enjoyed our recent stay in Brooklyn. We had all of the amenities needed to make our stay pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. We utilized mass transit to get to our destinations. Arriving at LaGuardia was not as simple to navigate to get here, but nevertheless, we made it. As often mentioned, the subway and bus stop are about a five minute walk. We found all we needed at the local stores and eateries. The neighborhood street was charming. Many of the apartment's steps were decorated for fall and Halloween. We never experienced any problems. We are grateful we had the opportunity to stay at this apartment. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place for up to three people to stay.

Great studio apartment in Brooklyn!

This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend trip to New York. The apartment was clean and comfortable and John and his family were excellent hosts. The subway station was just a 5 minute walk to an A-train that went straight into Manhattan, and it was also an easy trip to/from the airport via public transit. The neighborhood was great, nice streets lined with brownstone apartments and lots of restaurants within walking distance. We were delighted with the accommodations and would definitely stay here again!

Convenient location; helpful owner

We enjoyed our stay. John and family were helpful and responded to any request we made within minutes as there are managers onsite. We were a short walk from a variety of markets, restaurants, and subway. Lower Manhattan was a short ride away on the A-train. On-street parking can be a challenge, but we lucked out and found one steps from the front entrance. Would love to go back to explore more of Brooklyn next time.

Cute little apartment in Brooklyn

We stayed in this cute little apartment in Brooklyn and it was pretty cute and cozy. One wierd thing is that underneath the bed is a dried out bucket of paint that had spilled out into the floor, so that was a bit weird. The bed is a little stiff as well as the futon, but we slept great regardless. You are about five to ten minutes to the closest Subway station that can take you into Manhattan. I would call it a cute little brownstone apartment.

The thing that i was impressed with is how accommodating the owners were. For example, when you first get inside the apartment, they supply you with a binder of nearby accommodations, restaurants, attractions, etc. You also get WiFi, which worked for the most part we were there. All around it was a good stay!

Best time ever

My boyfriend and I had a blast, felt really safe walking at night. Handcook is one of the most beautiful street of Brooklyn. Loved the appartment clean, slept like babies and John is a sweet men! We will be back for sure...you should try the restaurant Saraghina near by cool place amazing food 😃

Based on the information provided in the website, we were looking forward to a pleasant stay in a quiet and clean unit. Unfortunately, that was not the case. On the positive side, we enjoyed the neighborhood...it felt safe and there were plenty of enjoyable places to eat within walking distance. And, John, the owner was friendly and made us feel at home. On the negative side, as soon as we arrived we realized that we needed to clean the bathroom and kitchen ourselves as both were still very dirty and grimy. When we went to bed the first night, we noticed that it was uncomfortable because it "sank" towards the middle. A closer inspection the next day revealed that a number of the slats were broken and a concrete pail was holding it up in the center. Worst of all, however, was the upstairs neighbors. The first night, they were up until 3am. We heard everything. The remaining nights it was not much better. We stayed four nights and did not get much rest.

Now to his credit, on the second day John did ask us how everything was going. Because we were in a rush to get where we were going, we replied "fine" when it actually wasn't. We did not see him again after that. I believe that John would have fixed these things had we given him the opportunity.

We believe that all of these issues can be easily remedied. Clean more thoroughly, fix the bed by replacing the slats, and have a word with the upstairs neighbors. Once these issues are corrected this will be a fine place to stay.

Owner's Response: First, I would like to thank my guest for their feedback. This is the only way that I can know when something is wrong and needs fixing. I would also like to apologize for any inconvenience. I always make myself available to my guest for anything that they may need. Therefore had I been informed of any issues that they were having I would have taken care of them right away. The apartment is usually cleaned and well maintained. I have someone check it before each guest arrives. I will personally inspect the apartment and make sure it is thoroughly cleaned before each guest arrives. There was an issue with the bed slacks, but that has been corrected. And the bed is like new. Very comfortable. The issue with the noise have also been resolved. This is a beautiful studio apartment. It's the perfect little get away for a couple or for friends just looking for a comfortable place to stay while they explore all of the wonderful things our city has to offer. Many, many guests have come here and have enjoyed and loved there stay here in our cozy little paradise. My goal is to always make sure that my guest have a safe, pleasant and wonderful stay. And everyday I'm working to make that happen. Your feedback helps me to do that and get better everyday. Thank you John
