The country house Can Mayol is just a few minutes drive from Pollensa. The old town of Pollensa is probably one of the prettiest and most traditional towns in the north of Mallorca. Idyllically, the village lies at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains. which received the status of World Heritage a few years ago due to its particularity. You can enjoy Pollença anytime of the day: having breakfast in one of the coffee houses, shopping in one of the boutiques, gift or jewelry shops. There are a variety of art galleries, museums, and a variety of restaurants to have lunch or dinner there, and perhaps spend the day relaxing on the picturesque marketplace with a glass of wine. The market on Sunday morning fills Pollensa with color and life. In the narrow streets around the market place you will find stalls with a variety of items, very original and tasteful, like the town itself. On the market square you can stock up for the week with fruits and vegetables as well as typical Mallorcan products, true culinary delights. Pollença also offers numerous delicatessens, with a large selection of these Mallorcan products. These gourmet shops also have their wine section, here you will find Spanish wines, the classics such as Rioja, Navarra, Ribera del Duero, Somontana, Rueda and then of course the "Mallorcans". Numerous wineries are now in Mallorca, there are according to the latest census at the moment about 70 wineries. Over the years, the island has developed into a high-quality wine region, the relative young wines are very popular, and who would like to serve the wine directly at the winery, here on Mallorca has countless opportunities, some of which are even in Pollensa and near surroundings. We are happy to provide you our "wine guides" available.
Port de Pollença, with its pine-lined beach promenade and exclusive marina, is ideal for strolling. There are also various sports such as surfing, kitesurfing, sailing (Hobbycat, catamaran, sailboat), jet skiing, water skiing and much more. And if you like shopping, both Pollensa and Port de Pollensa offer a variety of shops and restaurants, from the typical Mallorcan restaurant with fresh fish from the bay to the more exotic Indian or Japanese restaurant. Cala San Vicente is Pollensa's nearest bay. It is the jewel of the Pollensiner, beautifully situated is the bay in the middle of the Tramuntana mountain range, overlooking the colorful Mediterranean Sea and the emblematic mountain Cavall Bernat. Cavall Bernat was the motive of many local as well as international painters, from Mallorcas "Belle Epoque" beginning of the 20. Century, which in particular Pollensa and the surrounding area, the place and the people, so much influenced their art, their cosmopolitanism and at that time already modern views.
