This recently finished home is created for valued getaway time, and access to local mountain resort activity. This is a special location, a short climb off rte. 100, about five miles south of rte. 4, and the Killington gondola. Okemo mountain is not far, back down rte. 100, and Echo lake is close by.
Surrounded by pines and birches, the many windows, including a living room front over two stories in height, provide picturesque woodsy views. This is a resort home in a sporty location.
Special selection of materials included a large central floor area of Vermont slate, surrounded by dark stained oak with radiant floor heat. Each bedroom and bath display designer attention to quality and detail. Each of the two larger bedrooms has a queen size bed. The third bedroom has two twin beds.
A spacious and comfortable dining area was planned for special meals, and the kitchen, along with all new appliances, features cookware and dishes chosen for owner use, uncommon in rental property.
The living room area has 32 ' HD television, with a wide Direct TV package. There is five speaker surround sound stereo. And the washer/ dryer is available for guest use.
So, enjoy this home as an owner would, and make several hours on-site part of your stay.

I have done real estate work centered around property management for over thirty years, including work in several ski resorts. For about ten years I owned and operated a hotel, and short-term rental business in Aspen, CO.
Stuart Potter purchased this house in 2009
I grew up Greenwich, CT. My family spent winter weekends and school vacations at Killington, along with family friends with the same routine. I became involved in this property before subdividing the land, selling lots, and designing and building this home. Over the years, I have been, off and on, a resident, part-time resident, and vacationer in the area, since shortly after Killington first opened.
This property is my home for about three weeks at the beginning of the ski season, and for the same period of time at the end of the season. On a daily basis, I am able to ski, maintain a base for work, and renew contact, mostly at area restaurants, with many lifelong friends.
What a great 4 day weekend the pictures definitely don't do it justice - a beautiful home indeed. Very clean and well kept. Short drive to killington. Everything was perfect - my only downfall was no fireplace and no hot tub.
Overall everything was great and we all enjoyed this home and the weekend.
Thank you for everything Stuart. You were more than accommodating.
Very much enjoyed our two night stay.
House was gorgeous. Owner was helpful. Place is secluded and private. The house was nice inside and out and very spacious. Would highly recommend to stay.
This house was perfect for a couples getaway. Stuart was so helpful when one of us needed mailed a package to the house but it got delivered to the County Clerks office. Since they are closed on Fridays the housekeeper's husband worked for the Sheriff's dept and helped us out!
Back to the house, it was clean and large enough for 6 people and a dog. The property was well maintained in the snow. The house was very spacious. There is no cell phone service but you can connect to wifi and send iMessages if you have an iPhone. The house is about a 5 minute drive to Killington's Skyship gondola and about a 15 minute drive to the access road. The only downside was that the kitchen could have some cutting boards (but we do cook a lot - so it could be that).
The front room does get pretty chilly but the house has some blankets.
This house in Plymouth was in a great location not far from Killington (about 15 minutes to skyship base). There was ample room for our two families and plenty of bathrooms where it was never an issue. The space was clean and well organized. It was comfortable and always warm. Cooking in the house was easy going. In general this was a really great place. It looks like it would be a great spot to stay in the summer as well.
One warning I will raise is that if you have a dinky little front-wheel drive car, like my Lexus CT-200h it might not make it up the steep drive up the mountain on a snowy day. When we arrived, it snowed previously and there was ice underneath the snow. I couldn't make it up the mountain drive to get to the house. There is a spot to leave your car at the base of the mountain drive, and I used it, but my car got stuck there too because of ice. We eventually made it up thanks to the other family who picked us up in their SUV. For winter trips, I'd suggest a car that can handle steep hills in the snow (general advice for Vermont, though).
Bathroom toilet downstairs a mess....kitchen stove full of grease, downstairs floors had stains and in addition 2 days later we became aware of a rat. I woke up at 3am and 5am to the noise of a rat inside the house. Owners' response was not to worry it will go away with deterrents on the house....The kitchen sink had a leak, 2 out of the 3 kitchen lights were not working. I had a video and pictures to support this. I just want this person to do something about this because the next guest will very likely have the same issues.
Centrally located for all area destinations and year-round activities, this home is an easy 11 mi. drive north of the town of Ludlow at the base of Okemo Mountain, and a 5 mi. drive to the Killington Skyeship gondola, continuing up rte. 100. Bear Mountain an the other Killington base lodges are a short drive up the Killington East Road from there.
At the base of the road, .3 mi. downhill, rte. 100 skirts Echo Lake. During the summer season access to swimming, canoeing, etc. is nearby, and the immediate area offers scenic hiking and biking routes. Ludlow has shopping, and several excellent restauant choices. The towns of Plymouth, by the historic Coolidge home, Woodstock, Queechee, and others noted for Inns, antiques, other favorites of Vermont shopping are easily reachable, without traffic, by scenic state highway.
All of Killington, including Bear Mtn. Snowshed, and the Killington Golf course via the Killington East road that originates at the Skyeship gondola parking area, is close by. Many regular locations for music, and outdoor festivals are easily accessed. This is a quality central location for getting to activities in all directions, for summer and fall as well as winter.
