About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Near the edge of a bluff overlooking the ocean, this NEWLY REMODELED ground-floor condominium offers fabulous ocean and coastline views. Bali Hai, the landmark mountain made famous in “South Pacific,” is just one of the awesome sights that guests enjoy here. Relax indoors or on your lanai to take in the gorgeous scenery – boats sailing by, playful dolphins offshore and, during winter months, giant humpback whales. Spectacular sunsets color the sky along Kauai’s beautiful north shore in the evenings.

Lounge poolside and take a refreshing swim from time to time at the pool just a few steps away. Beach lovers appreciate the path which leads to sea level and a sandy beach below the bluff. Plan a picnic here or just laze in the warm sun, relax and enjoy the beautiful panoramic vista. This condo is a comfortable home-away-from-home which is conveniently located near restaurants, shops and activities. The fully furnished kitchen has new granite counters, new cabinets, and new appliances. It is easy to dine at home and, when you wish to dine out, there are many restaurants in right in Princeville and in nearby Hanalei from which to choose. Activities nearby include seasonal swimming, snorkeling, fishing, surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, flightseeing, shopping, tennis and golf.

Why The Owner chose Kauai

The combination of the gorgeous ocean and mountain views from this condominium and its lush landscaping and convenient location enticed us to buy Pali Ke Kua #101. We love the its location, comfortable furnishings....and most of all, the jaw-dropping sunsets we see every night from its lanai.

What makes this condo unique

No where else can one see huge humpback whales, sunsets, surfers, exotic flowers...all from your lanai, living room, dining room and kitchen.

Guestbook comments from the manager

My husband and I just got back from a week here and what a fantastic place. I cannot say enough but if you are looking for jaw dropping views, access to the best snorkeling beach ever and all the romance built right in then you will contact Robert and Carla right away. They did so much to extend the aloha spirit and Kauai Vacation Rentals made our stay very enjoyable. just pack your bathing suit and toothbrush and off you go. The condo was all that was advertised and had all the extras....beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, ice chest and more. We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and could not have found a better location to spend the week. The views of Bali Hai which was the backdrop of our wedding 10 years ago made me smile every morning and every night. I would recommend this condo to all of my friends and family without any reservations!!!

A very memorable stay

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our Kauai vacation at Pali Ke Kua 101. We had an excellent time there. The furnishings are excellent & tastefully done. It is a very cozy place with a good deal of privacy.

We had a spectacular view of Hanalei Bay. Plus, it was a unique experience to see the diversity of birds there & have the Nenes approaching us in the yard. We also enjoyed use of the pool & jacuzzi nearby at the rec center.

Amazing Sunsets!!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this property for a little over a week. The condo is exactly as described - great location, beautiful views, well equipped, comfortable bed. We particularly appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, and snorkelling gear. Princeville was an excellent location, close to Hanalei (about 7 minutes). We took in many of the Kauai's natural sights and beaches - a car rental is a must. We drove around the island, with the longest drive being to Waimea Canyon (about 1 1/2 hours away.)

We were lucky to have excellent sunsets most nights and loved being able to enjoy them while having a few drinks on the lanai. Kauai Vacations, the company responsible for the property, was very helpful. If you rent through them, download their app as we found the information they provided extremely useful. Check-in was smooth, as they provided the keys at our car rental place, and key drop-off was equally as smooth.

Just one tiny warning, the mosquitos were abundant. This has nothing to do with the condo and is more of a reminder for guests to bring some good bug spray. The unit was at the end of the property, which gave us quite a bit of privacy as people weren't walking past our window. Someone mentioned the occasional noise from the street, but it didn't bother us at all (we live in the city, so we're used to it). Nevertheless, the cars were few and far between because Pali Ke Kua was almost at the end of the road, just before the St. Regis. We're already making plans for our next trip to this amazing island and look forward to staying at this unit again.

Beautiful condo with amazing view

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, renovated condo with a drop-dead beautiful view. Exactly as described, fully stocked with everything we needed (plus a couple of goodies from the rental co). Good location - up on the bluff in Princeville, close to food/shopping, where it's quiet and always a little bit sunnier than in Hanalei... though Hanalei has more small-town charm and quirkiness! So it's nice to be near both. Ultra close to the gorgeous (but treacherous) Queen's Bath, and near our new favorite place in the world: Anini Beach Park. This property was ultra clean and well-cared for. We'd definitely come back and recommend to others.

What a charming and cozy condo. You walk through the doors to the most amazing view. The unit is immaculate and truly has an island feel. Close to outstanding north shore beaches as well as the restaurants and ambiance of Hanalei. Highly recommend

Its a 10

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I visited Princeville to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We stayed in this condo, which is simply phenomenal. A few non-obvious highlights worth mentioning: first, its a corner unit in the very first building in the Pali Ke Kua community. In other words, you have no neighbor to your left. Second, its a ground floor unit so you can walk right out onto the grass, as well as hose the sand off your feet when you get back from the beach. In the early evening, perhaps 200yds away and down the street, you begin to see people gathering on a small grassy area. They've come from all over the Princeville community to watch the sun go down. But you need not join them, because you have just as good a view, if not a better one, from the chair you're sitting in on the lanai. Your drink of choice is within arms reach and you have a front row seat to one of the consistently best sunsets on the planet. While the grassy knoll down the way clears, you and yours stay seated and watch the dusk gather and the stars arrive (when we were there, it was a full moon and we therefore got to view a surreal moonset over Bali Hai each morning). Ten years ago, we had honeymooned in Princeville and stayed at the fancy resort (now the St Regis) not even 1/2 mile down the street. This was so much better, and for a fraction of the cost. The amenities were perfect, the condo nicely appointed, and naps on the couch with just the screen doors in front of us and the sound of the ocean and the cool ocean breeze all over were just outstanding. Final notes -- the owners were very gracious w/ questions etc when we were booking, and KVR (the property managers) were proactive and highly professional as well. Made everything seamless. There's a grocery store 1.5mi away, a beach w/in walking distance, and the best scenery in the Pacific everywhere and anywhere you turn. Stop reading this and book the place now. Its impossible to be disappointed.

Trip of a lifetime

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I went to Kauai for two weeks on our honeymoon! Our trip was pure paradise. The condo was immaculate and had everything that we needed - a well stocked kitchen, Kauai guidebooks, a washer and dryer, and beach supplies (boogie boards, umbrella, lawn chairs, etc.) The views from the porch were spectacular and the sunsets were incredible. Pali Ke Kua had a fantastic restaurant (Hideaways) and a pool and hot tub which we used quite a bit. The complex even had private beach access and was very close to restaurants and a grocery store. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone.
