The largest apartment of the Cowshed can accommodate up to 8 people. This apartment is located in Wijdenes near the Ijsselmeer. Enjoy a comfortable stay in this luxurious apartment, you can use the sauna as a guest. The cozy, spacious living room and kitchen is wonderful to spend time in. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a large stove with oven to prepare a delicious meal for larger groups. In the hayloft there are 2 beds and 3 bedrooms with beds for 2 people. There is a spacious bathroom with toilet, 2 sinks, bathtub and separate shower. Enjoy the sun in the large garden at the back of the house, there is also a small square at the front.
From the vacation home you can visit the historic cities of Hoorn and Enkhuizen. These cities are 11 km away. Hoorn is known for its many old monuments and canals around the center. In addition, the vacation home is only 30 km from the world famous port cities of Edam and Volendam. The area is ideal for exploring by bike. It is wonderful to cycle along the dike with an unobstructed view of the water. A small beach is not far away and the water is relatively shallow, making it suitable for children. Worth a special mention is the recently opened Marker Wadden (2018), a beautiful nature project in the Markermeer. The Marker Wadden, which consists of 5 islands, can only be reached by boat. Lookout towers are located in several places, including the 12 m high "Steltloper", 12 km of hiking trails and long beaches with shallow water. A must for bird lovers.
