We bought this house (we call it Antonine House) which adjoins our backyard in 2008 and did a complete historic renovation on it. It's nice. It has two large bedrooms, both with queen beds and personality. Only one bath, but it's got a Jacuzzi tub. The kitchen is small, but you're not coming to New Orleans to eat in. A nice living room, stereo, cable Flat Screen TV, lots of CDs and DVDs and books, and WiFi. All very comfortable. The one downside is that this is the second floor, so you have to climb stairs. But then you get the front gallery (porch) you can hang out on as a reward.

And we love our location. We're one house off Magazine street, right in the coolest section. Tons of great restaurants, bars, shopping of all kinds, coffeehouses - Magazine is a great street. And we're more than happy to give you all the guides and suggestions you need. We're locals, and know our way around New Orleans.

We're also inside the parade route, so we're only a few blocks from the Mardi Gras parades in a couple of directions.

We live in the house behind this house (facing the next parallel street) and have our offices on the first floor. There is a shared yard in between.

Great location, we loved Antonine House!

We absolutely loved our stay at Antonine House. It was in a perfect location in the Garden District, so close to Magazine Street where there are tons of restaurants and shops. Transportation was very convenient in this location, the bus stop is right there so it’s very easy to get around in the city. The house itself is very clean and spacious. We would definitely stay here again!

Lots of character and great location

We loved being able to walk to restaurants, shops, and the streetcar. At night we would watch all the fun on Magazine Street from the balcony. The rooms were beautiful and the sheets and towels provided were nice in quality. I would say that the yellow rooms mattress is more firm than the blue rooms but that worked perfectly for our son. We had a great trip and can't wait to return!

The apartment is fantastic and clean. It is close to everything we needed and we did not regret not getting a rental car. Close proximity to Magazine St and the streetcar meant we would walk or ride to anything close by. For things further away we hopped in an Uber or Lyft which had no problem finding the house.
