Why Owner/ Manager chose Fremont
The Ballard Bungalow is near the fishermen's terminal and located in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in all of Seattle. It is located very close to the Burke Gilman Bike Trail and right along the Seattle Metro's Route 28. It's within easy walking distance to the zoo and a five minute walk to Fremont's shopping district and Ship Canal. Several coffee shops, Fred Meyer and Trader Joe's are all very near. It's an approximate 20 minute drive from SeaTac Airport, 10 minutes to downtown Seattle and 10 minutes from The University of Washington campus. Its location makes the bungalow a great option for people with or without a vehicle.
What makes this Bungalow unique
The bungalow is an urban retreat in the heart of Seattle. Its located on a large lot that feels comfortable, and the bungalow itself has been completely remodeled. The friendly neighborhood and great neighbors will make you feel right at home, and the great southeast exposure provides plenty of sunshine.

So fun in Fremont!
Wonderful property! Warm and comfortable with everything we needed. Great views and close to all the action. Very convenient location. Can’t wait to stay again.
Beautiful view, great location. We would do it again!
Very nice, quiet and clean
Loved the neighborhood and location. I would use this property again.
Great place to stay for extended visit to Seattle. This was our second month-long stay at Baker Ave. in two years. Hope to be back many more times.
Great location and a beautiful apartment.
Jody and Tom are great hosts and my husband and I enjoyed every minute staying at their rental in Seattle. A great location and all the comforts of home.
Comfy Cottage Feel Minutes from Attractions
I travel to Seattle frequently on business and had an opportunity to bring my spouse for a longer visit. A previous stay at a HomeAway property in Paris had us wanting to try the same in Seattle. This home was just the ticket! A short way from the hustle and bustle in a quiet, quaint neighborhood looking out over the NW section of Fremont towards Ballard. It has a warm, cottage feel with all the amenities.
We love to cook and everything we needed was easy to find. There is a nice organic market in the center of Fremont, a short 15 minute walk, and a larger Safeway that is better reached via bike or car. Lots of funky little shops to visit along with some cool bars (check out the Barrel Thief for an impressive whiskey menu). Plenty of restaurant variety, as well.
Getting into downtown Seattle is a breeze via Uber or the nearby bus stops. I would recommend using "moovit", an app that provides different route options and directions for getting from point A to point B if you don't have a vehicle and are not interested in biking. As for bikes, Lime is currently quite popular in the area and I was always able to find a Lime bike (both regular and electric) within a block or two.
Some things worth noting that are not in the owner's description... They have a nice remote controlled ceiling fan that came in really handy during a warm spell, as well as a couple of portable fans to keep air circulating. There is a nice sound system that you can plug in a phone/iPad/etc. to play music while cooking or relaxing.
Kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dishes, flatware, etc. - everything you could need. While there are some herbs and oil in the cupboard, I would recommend you pick up whatever you need at the market and take or throw away what you have purchased but did not use...nothing like renting your home out and returning to find your personal supplies diminished and others' left behind.
All in all - very relaxing...just what we needed!
