Location is perfect! Beautiful community that is close to everything but feels like your away from the hustle and bustle.
I enjoy the peacefulness and nature. This is the one place I go to relax!
Our family, with three children, absolutely LOVED our month stay at Ocean Woods!!!! I can not wait to go back. Everything you could possibly need is here at this home. If you stay, please take time to talk with Annie ( the landlord) and especially the neighbors. My children, 8yr, 7yr, and 3yr, feel in love with this place. The neighbors took them in like their own. You are within walking distance to everything. Because of my 3 yr old we drove to the beach, but were able to walk to the pool. My older children and I could easily walk to the beach or ride the bikes. The house is absolutely beautiful! So very well decorated. I loved the master bath shower! Also, I loved the outdoor shower when we came off the beach. The patio was so spacious and fun in the evenings for dinner. It was a very safe neighborhood and there are bikes for the kids. Our children were in heaven! I really hope someday we can come back!!!!!! I felt like this was our home and we made so many new friends. Thank you Annie for everything. To me, this is the best vacation home I have ever stayed in!!!!
We got to spend 3 months at this property this past winter and had a wonderful vacation and plan to return again next winter. This will be our 4th time here, and once again, Annie, the property manager made sure our time was hassle-free and relaxing. We continue to meet friendly and outgoing neighbors in this quiet, gated community. This year, we made sure to take advantage of the chance to watch sun rises (in the morning) and moon rises (in the evening) at the beach. The beach for this property is close enough to walk to the Port to the North and the Cocoa Beach Pier to the South and yet offers a wide uncrowded area between the two. We also discovered nearby Manatee Park where we had picnics and watched the sunset over the river. I guess the fact that we are returning to this same property for the 4th time says it all - we love it and can't wait to come back!
My wife and I and our small dog stayed in this beautiful home for the month of January 2013. This was our first experience at snowbirding for the winter. It was an excellent experience, so much so, that we have already booked this house for January 2014. The house was spotless, very comfortable, and well-stocked. Every room has its own TV with cable. The fenced courtyard is very private, has a grill for cooking, and is shaded with winding live oak trees. The house is located in the very secure gated community of Ocean Woods. The community has many winding live oak trees with other tropical vegetation providing shade for the homes and streets. We enjoyed watching and photographing the many peacocks and squirrels that live in this community. The beach is a short walk through a tropical wonderland. There is a recreation area with 2 pools. We were so busy enjoying the many nearby attractions: Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island National Preserve, Cape Canaveral National Seashore, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Harvey's Groves, Cocoa Beach Pier, Port Canaveral, Victory Casino Cruise, beaches, local shops and restaurants, that we never made it to the pools. The home manager greeted us upon arrival and was very helpful with providing information about the neighborhood, local attractions, and rocket launches. We watched a night rocket launch right from the patio. What an amazing site! We will be back January 2014.
We stayed at this home for a few months over the summer while we were working in the area it had all the comforts of home. The manager AnneMarie was very accomodating and she was there at all times to answer any questions you might have. There was a beautiful patio where you could sit outside where you could sit outside and grill in the evening. You could hop on one the bikes that they had provided and ride down to the beach or swimming pool in just a minute. All we had to do was pack our bags and go the house had everything from pots and pans to linens. The people in the neighborhood where all real nice!
I brought my wife, children and in-laws for a week to this house. In short, it's clean, comfortable and quiet. Close access to the main road in Cape Canaveral/Cocoa beach. The owner's sister manages the property. She is responsive, friendly and helpful. The house is smaller than some others, but it's clean, well-stocked, and has a homey feel. Every room has it's own TV with cable. I have rented other houses and this was smooth and easy.
For some, the 8 minute walk to the beach might be too long, but it wasn't for us. The gated community is well-maintained, roads are quiet with speedbumps, and all the streets are lush with well-maintained trees and vegetation. And there are peacocks all around! Quiet ones.
I stayed in this beautiful home a week with my wife and cousin. The house was spotless and very comfortable. The private courtyard was amazing with the winding oak trees. We never encountered issues with insects as we have other places we've stayed in Florida. The manager greated us upon arrival and was very helpful with suggestions and providing information about the neighborhood and local activities and events which lead us to an amazing airboat ride where we saw lots of gators and a cyprus forest. She advised us where we could get discounted tickets to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios and told us when we could catch a view of the ships coming in and out of port. It was amazing to see the Disney ship heading out of port as if it were just cutting through the beach making it's own path to the ocean. We loved the private beach walk trail that took us past coconut trees, peacocks and winding oak trees. We were lucky enough walking back from the beach to come across a rare white peacock! Unfortunately, it was too fast to get a photo of but it was loads of fun trying.
