Starting to feel like our "home away from home"

  • 5 of 5

The wife an I can't seem to leave this place alone. It is 75 miles from home, and 2 hours of back roads beauty to get there. We just spent the last week in March here, and will return at the end of April too. This is our 8th visit. No "bossy boss" to keeping you from taking a nap when you want to. Sirloin steak and eggs anytime, we even left 4 of our home grown eggs for the housekeeper this time. We are starting to mooch a cup of coffee from a few of the live in folks also.

Centrally located for great hiking around Mt. Baker

  • 5 of 5

The house was neat and clean and well supplied with kitchen items. I especially appreciated the extras such as paper towels and laundry detergent. Beds were comfy as well. Would happily return if ever in the area again.

OK property and good location, but the beds were a disappointment. If you are looking for a good nights sleep, this is not the place

Owner's Response: I am very sorry to hear about your experience with the beds. This comes as a bit of a surprise as the beds are what our guests enjoy about the property. We are going to look into this with our property manager and address replacing the beds to ensure only the best for our future guests. It is paramount for our guests to have a great experience with us and we take that very seriously. Feel free to contact me directly about some type of concession for a future stay with us to make up for your current stay. Thank you again for choosing us for your getaway.

Very nice place for group of hiking ladies

  • 5 of 5

We spent two nights there and loved the cabin. The space is well designed and easily accomodated six of us. We loved having the two bathrooms for ease of getting ready. The Ruku was great for the evening to relax and the dining table perfect size for eating and games. We did some hiking there and the cabin is in a nice spot for easy access to the area. Would stay there again.

It is just the world we live in.

We were a group of 6. Home fit us well. Clean and as advertised.

  • 4 of 5

Would have been a 5 star review except for the wifi. As stated there is no cellular reception available at the property making wifi vital if you plan on keeping in touch during your stay. Although the speed was adequate the router/modem would randomly power cycle knocking all devices off the network. We reported the issue to property manager who stated we could call the ISP. We chose to live with the issue rather than invest our time troubleshooting the problem. Again, nice home and location and we had a blast. Thanks.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the honest feedback and we are encouraged you still enjoyed your stay even though the WIFI was up and down. We do our best to provide the conveniences of home and the best possible connectivity for being in the mountains. As a backup for future stays and guests there is also free WIFI at Chair 9 pizza if for some reason ours is giving you trouble just in case you need to stay connected. Usually our WIFI is very consistent and performs well.
