Deferred maintenance and deep clean needed

We largely enjoyed our stay here, but there were a handful of items needing attention, some of which were not corrected during our stay.

First the PROs:

- Great location! Only 2 blocks off Main Street for walk-to access to shopping and dining, but located on quieter French St.

- Great patio/hot tub in back (west side) with mountain views.

- The layout of the place was perfect for us with 2 adults and 2 kids. One private bedroom + Murphy beds, 2 bathrooms.

- The living space is comfortable, with large leather furniture facing the fireplace/TV and the kitchen and bar counter facing onto the living room. West-facing windows and skylights let in plenty of light.

The CONs:

- WiFi strength-of-signal was bad. The modem is in the larger house next door and the signal was OK in the bedroom (closest to the other house), but very weak at the far end of the house where the kitchen is, and virtually nonexistent on the patio. I called the owner about this. He said this was not normal and had the provider try to fix it, but it never improved during our 3-day stay. I'd say this house just needs its own dedicated WiFi. This made it very difficult for my wife and I to connect and work during our stay.

- There are some items that need fixing: One Murphy bed is completely off its hinges and is a safety hazard when opening/closing. The bed is very heavy and difficult to let down and put up if you use it. The owner told me he was waiting on parts for this, but I also see another review mentioning it 2 months ago. Some other items: very loose doorknob on main door, curtain rod brackets hanging off the wall with no curtain, water filter in fridge needs replaced, knob on clothes dryer missing its pointer. These are small things, but they add up to a not-so-good impression.

- Cleanliness was less than adequate. It looks like the place could use a thorough deep cleaning, as there are places where there is caked-on dirt on the flooring tile. The bedding was not great quality and appeared to be very worn. Not many pillows were provided. We had to hunt for them and never found enough pillow cases (only wanted 4).

The property manager Jordan was responsive when I called, and made efforts to fix the WiFi and did fix the hot tub, which had gone cold after our first day. He seems like a very nice guy and wants to make your stay a positive one.

However, I probably would not stay here again, unless I knew that the above issues had been corrected.

Great Location needs a few updates

We stayed with our family of 4 at this Breckenridge location. Our stay overall was great and this is a perfect location for downtown Breckenridge to shop and eat at the restaurants. Only a block away from the local market for grocery needs. There were a couple negatives - the condo was to be cleaned prior to our arrival and the quality of cleaning was very poor. The floor was still noticeably dirty to the point that I made sure to wear my shoes, the bedspread on the master was not very clean and one of the murphy beds was broken. There was also fresh dog poop in the small yard adjacent to the hot tub.

Great Location - Needs a little TLC

we had a lovely time over Memorial weekend. This property is priced right, but needs a little TLC. A few things were broken, nothing to ruin the weekend, but more of a nuance and safety hazard when you have a 2 year old running around. For example, one of the Murphy beds were broken and couldn't be put up. The bad thing, it was the one main living space.

Out side of that, location is great, 2 blocks off main street and easy to find. Full kitchen hot tub with great views!

Great location and amenities. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. The location is central to everything (restaurants, grocery, ski shops, etc) and bus route to lifts is around the corner. The unit has everything you would need for a few days or even longer. We'll be coming back for years to come. Now, how do we keep this place our little secret so we always have availability? ;)

Great location, excellent yard, perfect service

This is a great property, inexpensive and walking distance to everything. Private back yard with hot tub. Very close to the neighbors, it can get noisy. Not fancy by any stretch, but great for a getaway. Jordan's service and response times were excellent.

Great location; not great neighbors and needs attention to cleaning

This location is great for walking everywhere in downtown Breck and convenient to all of Breck's amenities. The hot-tub was nice and private. However, before booking you should be aware that the neighboring property's deck and hot-tub faces the master bedroom's windows . Our neighbors for our two night stay partied until 3 am both nights. I get that the owner doesn't have much control about what the neighbors do, but sleeping in the master bedroom was not possible for our stay (yes, the windows were closed, but you can hear everything being said outside next door!). Also, I would expect a cleaner room given the high cleaning fee. Upon arrival there was noticeable dirt and hair on the tile floor. I dropped a piece of black clothing on the rug in the bedroom and when I picked it up was horrified at the amount of dog hair, human hair, and just dirt that was on it. The bathrooms are also not getting cleaned very well on a consistent basis as there was visible mildew and grime. Finally, no amenities like shampoo or shower soap or lotion - so bring your own. Overall, if you're okay with the parties next door and don't plan on sleeping and don't mind the dirty floors, this is an okay place. We won't be returning.
