Welcome to our farm! We are a family of musicians and fell in love with the idyllic village of Alt Jabel 20 years ago looking for a new place to live. Here, in the midst of a large forest in the Biosphärenreservat Mecklenburgische Elbtalaue, we particularly appreciate the spaciousness, freedom and tranquility that we have missed in the city.
The house has a floor space of about 70 square meters and is lovingly furnished with stylish old furniture, a well-equipped kitchen, sauna, private lawn and a covered seating area with barbecue. In the attic there are two bedrooms with a double bed or two single beds. A special charm gives the house the rustic brick kilns. The firing is an experience and is rewarded with lasting comforting warmth. The firewood for the stoves is available free of charge in the respective barn. With a little skill and experience, crispy pizzas and tarte flambée can be baked in the brick oven. Our little guests are particularly impressed by the Kettcar of our sons. Performing guests will enjoy the Pfeiffer piano with its excellent sound and playing characteristics.
Recreation seekers will find plenty of opportunities to relax in Alt Jabel. The surrounding forest invites to long walks, the Elbe with the fortress town of Dömitz is not far, and in the summer months you can swim in the beautiful Alt Jabeler Waldbad. Numerous wild paths lead past the house in the immediate vicinity. In the nearby Redefin the attractive state stud is located. The baroque town of Ludwigslust with its castle and large park is a 25-minute drive away, Schwerin with its zoo, interesting museums, theaters and impressive castle is 65 km away. The pretty villages of the region fascinate with their original, for over a hundred years well-preserved, extensive settlement structure. In addition to the beautiful nature in Alt Jabel is the park in a vicarage with its representative buildings, a church ruins from the 13th century. Century and a beautiful large church from 1908 particularly worth seeing. In the neighboring village is the Vielanker Brauhaus, which spoils its guests in a rustic ambience with home-brewed beers, barrel showers and regional cuisine.
