We had great time and house was great. Pool never busy and short walk to beach. Great views. Owner great to work with, answered questions promptly and professionally. Would stay again and again.
Beautiful well-appointed, very large house. Our group had plenty of space. Kitchen had plenty of utensils. Wife was surprised at how quickly the top oven pre-heated. No one lacked for hot water taking showers. Master bedroom and bath were HUGE. No issues at all with anything in the house. The house was even supplied with beach towels. We found Tania to be very responsive to email requests. We only spoke once by phone, but I have no doubt she'd be just as responsive to phone calls. This house will definitely be on our list for future stays.
Plenty of beach gear in the garage. I think I counted at least 6 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas, as well as beach and sand toys. There was an inflatable raft and life vests in the garage. Beach is a very short walk across a low-traffic road (normally - see last part of this review). We were able to see dolphins on several occasions, both from the beach and from the 2nd floor deck. At the bay-side dock, we saw hermit crabs, shrimp and sting or manta rays. My son went the dock at dawn and got pictures of a group of at least a dozen rays. Several of the group took the free trolley into the more commercial area; trolley stop is about 1 block to the east from the gated entrance.
This part of my review is not for Sydney's Sandcastle, but for Pensacola Beach and Memorial Day weekend. If you don't know about Memorial Day weekend and Pensacola Beach, then Google it. Tania apologized for not bringing this to our attention; she says she makes it a point to mention this to potential renters. This only impacted a day and a half of our stay. Arrival on Saturday was a mess, the normally peaceful highway was a mess, cars parked on both sides for probably 3 or 4 miles with constant traffic into the early morning hours. Traffic on Sunday was much better and by Monday was back to normal.
We loved every minute of our stay at Sydney's Sandcastle. The house is just beautiful, with spacious rooms, amazing views, every amenity to make your stay comfortable. It is a wonderful hours to entertain in, and while we only had 8 people in our group, we easily could have slept 15. We will recommend this piece of Paradise to all of our friends!
The house was a fantastic vacation for our family. The home is well furnished, comfortable beds, and well equipped. We had twelve in our group and plenty of beds for all!!! The views are breathtaking from both the front and back of the home. No one wanted to leave, just cross the street was a beautiful sandy beach, miles of beach with a volleyball net for the family to enjoy. There are plenty of beach towels, toys, and beach chairs to share. Would highly recommend this home to anyone.
