Overview

About the property

House: 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 4, extra charge for up to 2 more guests)

Relax in our new custom built home on 7 1/2 private fenced and gated acres with panoramic Glacier Park vistas of the front range of the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy the views and solitude from the expansive redwood deck overlooking active beaver ponds where wildlife and birds abound. Moose, bear, deer, fox, waterfowl, and songbirds are frequent visitors where they share with us the natural beauty of Montana. Our home is sheltered in a gently sloping aspen grove with berry bushes, dogwood, and marsh grasses surrounding the ponds. The property is located two miles from the village of East Glacier Park (Amtrak stop) and from there a short drive to the Two Medicine entrance of Glacier National Park. It is also an easy drive to access other entrances to The Park.

The house consists of three bedrooms and two baths. There are two 4' showers and an antique clawfoot tub where one can luxuriate after a long days hike. Each bedroom has mountain and pond views. The two main floor bedrooms each have two twin beds while the upstairs master bedroom has a king bed where the sunsets and alpenglow will amaze you. The house is listed as sleeping four guests but it can accommodate a total of six with an additional charge for the extra guest(s). Go to sleep to the sound of beaver tails slapping the pond surface reminding you of the wilderness around you.

The open floor plan on the main level has 12' ceilings with knotty pine paneling, circular-sawn wood floors, solid maple kitchen cabinetry, and limitless views of mountain peaks. Sit in the comfortable living room recounting your days events or daydreaming as you overlook the ponds, Mt. Henry and Scenic Point. The dining area has a large oak table with seating for up to ten dinner guests. In building our dream home, much thought and effort went into designing the kitchen. In this large space you have the accoutrements and prep area to create the simplest of Montana breakfasts to the haute cuisine of a gourmet 5 star restaurant.

Whether you are whitewater rafting, kayaking, fishing the renowned Blackfeet Reservation lakes or in Glacier Park, summiting the surrounding peaks, hiking the picturesque Glacier Park trails, horseback riding, attending Pow Wow Days in Browning, golfing, sightseeing on the scenic Going to the Sun Road or hiking out your front door on tribal lands, you can be certain that an adventure awaits you in Big Sky Country. No matter where the events of the day may lead you, there is always a warm comfortable home awaiting your return.

Why The Owner chose Glacier Park

The Rocky Mountain Front is one of the true wild places in the lower 48 states. The proximity to Glacier National Park and the surrounding untrammeled lands drew us to this unique location.

Exceptional Vacation Property for a Galcier Park Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The property was in a just built condition with amenities you would find in a 4 star hotel. The kitchen was very well equipped, with quality appliances, cookware and utensils. Bathrooms/bedrooms were well appointed with quality linens and bath accessories. Great views from living area and master bedroom and a nice covered porch to relax on.. Property overlooks a large pond with plenty of wildlife.

Owners were very attentive, providing good advice on the area as well as helpful items like bear spray, hiking poles, extra jackets. Guest book going back several years with lots of good commentary on what other guests have done.

Overall a high quality property well worth the price. Ideal for a family of 4 to 6 or couples.

Superb. Best vacation ever! Great place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved East Glacier. Two Medicine Lake is very close by as well as horseback trail rides and good restaurants. The cabin views are spectacular and the cabin itself was spacious, clean, and well furnished. Barbara and Phil were quite gracious hosts, called to check on us, and provided a list of recommended hikes, activities, and places to eat. Our only regret was there was we packed so much into the trip that we didn't have enough time to just relax and fully appreciate the lodging! All of our family would love to visit again and said it was the best trip ever.

Beautiful home - Lovely setting

  • 5 of 5

This vacation home is a great property for experiencing all that Glacier National Park offers visitors! It provides access to Many Glacier, St. Mary's Lake, and West Glacier activities. Barbara and Phil are wonderful hosts, providing extensive information before our trip and ensuring our stay in their home was going well. Their home was very clean when we arrived and is well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked and designed for easy meal preparation. Awaking in the morning to the sounds of birds and beautiful views from the master bedroom are worth the long flight from the East Coast!

Great place to stay on our vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second trip to Glacier and we decided to stay in East Glacier since my daughter ran the Glacier half marathon. The house was awesome for 3 generations to be together. The view was amazing and the house was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Great location to enjoy many day trips around the area and close enough for a day trip to Waterton in Canada so bring your passport it is worth the trip! The information provided before our trip was very helpful in our planning. Thanks for sharing your home!

Mountain Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay. The location was fantastic for our fishing vacation on the Rez. The location was great, just far enough out of the town of East Glacier to have a relaxing feel and great views. The house was well laid out and was well stocked with amenities. Hope to stay again some time in the future.

Amazing! Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

What a memorable experience in East Glacier! We absolutely adored the house - the views are breathtaking, the cabin is comfortable and stocked to fulfill every need, and the location is perfect. We had a ball hiking the Many Glacier area, enjoying Two Medicine (do not miss!) and driving to Waterton Lakes. After visiting Glacier for almost ten years, we found the property to be the most welcoming, warm, and inviting spot from sun up to sun down. Great local restaurants too. Barbara and Phil did an amazing job preparing us for our visit and making our stay easy and senseless. Their home is exemplary in every way! Thank you again for sharing your peace of heaven with our family!
