Guestbook comments from the owner

We visited our son at the Naval Academy and chose the house for its location. It is a beautiful house, very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Owner was very easy to coordinate plans. Would recommend the house to anyone, especially if you want a location near the shops and restaurants of Annapolis and the USNA.

Well equipped home close to the Naval Academy

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home for my son's Induction to the Naval Academy. It was a great location, a short walk to Gate 1 and footsteps away from great restaurants. If you choose to dine in and cook, the kitchen is very well equipped and her coffee maker makes the best coffee!

The window air conditioners cooled the first and second floors very well. The third floor was a little warmer, but eventually cooled with the help of box fans. Mind you, while we were there, we were experiencing extreme hot weather and all were comfortable.

Julie is a great communicator and check in was a breeze. We would stay at her home again when we return to Annapolis. My son was disappointed that it was already booked by someone else for Plebe Parents Weekend.

Location Location Location!

  • 5 of 5

This location was perfect, we were a block away from The Naval Academy, Water Taxi, downtown restaurants. We enjoyed the porch in the am, which was the only porch on the Street! The décor was elegant, comfortable and clean. There were large 2 bedrooms on second floor and one large bedroom, with a window seat & love seat, on the third floor. The second and third floor had a bathroom. The house is cooled by window units on each floor, not central air.The third floor unit was not able to cool the bedroom sufficiently, the other two floors were fine. I want to note,we traveled during a period of extreme heat. The kitchen was small but high end and efficient but we ate all meals in the area restaurants. The crab cakes were amazing! The owner, Julie was accessible via cell phone and attentive. We enjoyed our visit and I hope to come back to this property again.

Perfect location to Academy made an incredible Parents' Weekend even better.

  • 5 of 5

You can't beat this location and convenience for enjoying Annapolis and specifically the USNA. It was a perfect place for us to host friends and most importantly our Plebe during town Liberty. It is beautifully decorated and well stocked and equipped. And literally around the corner from the heart of the city and the Yard!

We keep coming back!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this property before and keep coming back because of how comfortable, clean, and inviting it truly is. The owner takes great care in communicating well and providing special touches to this beautiful home. The proximity to USNA and all of the wonderful things happening around Annapolis makes it perfect. This home is unique with historical character and high end bedding & furnishings.

Location

Car: not necessary

Whether you come for the history, the education, the water, or the hospitality, there is always something to enjoy in Annapolis. Experience the colonial capital city, known since its earliest days as the "Athens of America," where one could find a wealth of cultural activities, a glittering social season, gracious hospitality and intellectual stimulation. The small seaport brought visitors from around the world who shared the news of the day while enjoying the ambiance and tidewater cuisine.

You will find the same atmosphere today, drawing more than four million people a year to our shores. Annapolis has been welcoming visitors for more than 300 years.

For many, Annapolis is synonymous with the United States Naval Academy. However, this world famous institution isn't even the oldest college in town. That distinction belongs to St.. John's College, founded in 1696 as King William's School. It is the third oldest college in the United States, after Harvard and William and Mary.

The capital of Maryland was the capital of the United States when the Treaty of Paris, ending the Revolutionary War, was signed here. All four Maryland signers of the Declaration of Independence had impressive homes, still standing, in Annapolis.

Today, Annapolis is a very popular port of call for international sailors. Its anchorage features transoms from all over the world. In the fall, the largest in the water boat shows in the world are held on successive weekends for sail and power enthusiasts.

Take time to walk in our city and peer over the garden gates. Visit our many shops or relax on a water taxi in our harbor. Beneath our waters lie the hull of the Peggy Stewart, burned during a tax revolt, and the great yacht "America" of America's Cup fame. The same harbor where Kunte Kinte was sold into slavery is where the proud Selima, top class thoroughbred whose bloodline gave us Man O'War and other champions, disembarked. The working-class dock, where PT boats and mine sweepers for two world wars were built, now supports the technologies used by Olympic sailors who train here and consider Annapolis "America's Sailing Capital."
