Custom designed Chalet, original artwork 1,100 s.f. + , 1 Bath, 2 adults + 2 kid

Western Style Swiss Chalet! The perfect Mountain Aerie! Wake up looking at a view of Sleeping Indian Mountain, or roll over and look up onto the Hobacks.

The Chalet is a large 1,100 square foot residence with a fireplace, bed, kitchen, and dining area arranged in the large open area. The bedroom is not a separate room. The chalet is like a large luxurious hotel suite. Built by the owner, to exacting specs, for his own use. Privacy is implicit in your private mountain getaway. Custom woodwork throughout.

This is not your average condo. The chalet is located on a 1 acre lot and is very private.

Do you want a ski in with a 5 min. walk to the Tram? This is a private quiet Chalet with no neighbors.

This new western style Swiss guest chalet was built by the owner for his personal guests. Located a short walk (5 min.) from the Mangy Moose and the heart of Teton Village. Our guest house is on a private wooded estate, and offers luxury, location, convenience, comfort and privacy for the ideal Jackson Hole vacation.

The entrance to Grand Teton National Park is one mile from the front door, Yellowstone is one hour away, and the town of Jackson is a beautiful 20 minute drive. For the outdoor lover: golfing, hiking, biking, swimming, canoeing, whitewater rafting, trail rides and wildlife viewing are within minutes of the house. For the spa lover: wellness treatments are available at the Four Seasons and Snake River Resort, within minutes of the cabin. Wintertime fun like cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snow mobile trips and dog sled excursions are available at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort - five minutes away.

Occupancy is a maximum of two people

Terrific, cozy place in a fantastic location!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! That pretty much sums up what a terrific place this was! We were looking for a week escape from the heat of the central valley in CA, a sort of getaway retreat for my husband & I. The studio apartment above the garage is very roomy ( bigger than the photos indicate) , with great decor, beautiful shower & lots windows that open to provide nice breezeways & even a cute balcony where we sat to have morning coffee or late afternoon wine. Werner was very helpful along the entire process, providing great communication & direction, as well a packet of information about the area. We were fortunate to meet the owners, as we crossed paths a few times during our stay & they were extremely hospitable, offering bear spray, trekking poles & /or anything else we needed to make our stay complete. The retreat has a small kitchen with a full sized fridge, perfect for making breakfast & storing snacks - Aspens Market just up the road is a nice 'gourmet' choice, without going all the way into Jackson. The resort, lifts, gondola are all walking distance from the property & we did several amazing hikes right there at JH resort, as well as enjoyed late afternoon beers at the top of the Gondola ( free ride after 4:30!) during our stay. Access to the National Park in only a few miles up the road. Thank you again, we will no doubt be back!

Perfect in every way

  • 5 of 5

We needed to get away from the hustle and bustle from every day life and couldn't have found a more perfect place. Away from everything but yet in easy reach of activities. The moment we entered the Chalet it gave us the feeling of comfort and YES, this is going to be great. Just like the pictures suggested. We enjoyed the winter scenery and marveled at the beauty of this area. The welcoming package we received had more than enough information about restaurants and things to do. We followed it to a T and weren't disappointed. Great suggestions just not enough days :) The owner was very helpful and accommodating. It shows that he cares. We definitely would come back. Maybe in the summer next time?

Owner's Response: Barbara and Heinz, Thank you for your kind review. You have taught me two new things, 1. Tell the guests in advance about the secret key, and 2. leave instructions for the fireplace. The FP is what is called a Rumford, it was designed by Count Rumford in the late 1700's . The design requires cracking a window and priming the flue with hot air by lighting some newspaper on top of the wood while lighting the fire under the wood.. This hot air gets the venturi effect going and the cracked window allows interior air to flow up the flue . Again thank you for you review and for leaving the Chalet so clean. Werner

Beautiful Home in Amazing Teton Village

  • 5 of 5

My husband and myself were headed to Glacier when all the fires raging made that trip impossible. We quickly changed all our plans and headed to Teton Village, Wyoming. The owner was accommodating and helped us change plans to stay with him in the Chalet. The space was charming and well stocked. The bed was beyond comfortable and we were well rested during our stay. So many sights and experience over our week stay. All wonderful. We will be back as we fell in love with the house and the area. Thank you for the well stocked kitchen and linens. The spa and sitting areas outside were an added bonus.

We thank you for sharing your home with us!

Perfect Ski Chalet in Teton Village

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for the perfect spot for our next ski trip and anniversary celebration. We wanted a place in the village, a hot tub, very nice creature comforts and pet friendly--that's a tall order! Well, look no further this is the spot! We thought by the pics and the description plus reviews we were in for a treat. It was beyond our high expectations and the rental made for the perfect vacation. Upon entering the chalet you will open a very thick heavy beautful wooden door with a cute cut out window & charming knob. This is the first clue I had that no detail is over looked. There is plenty of room for shoes, coats, etc.-plus they even have towels neatly folded for drying off from the snow or if your furry friend has wet paws. The washer/dryer unit is conveniently located downstairs with detergent & dryer sheets. The main living floor is a very well appointed and furnished loft style. The bed is really comfortable with plenty of cozy pillows. The decor does not disappoint, between the ornate colorful rugs, leather furniture, plaid throw blanket, and fun Jackson Hole themed pillows you get a feeling of grande lodge meets cozy cabin chic. The last on my list of perfect place to stay checklist was the bathroom. It was a very nice size and the shower stayed very hot for the much needed soothing rinse after a long day of skiing. I should also mention the hot tub outside was fabulous. The owners were smart to situate it on the hillside for a great view. You can see mountains during the day and stars at night. There is plenty of privacy from the neighbors while hot tubbing, and it's a short distance from the chalet-so you don't freeze. Also, there is a small deck off the chalet that has a nice view of the mountains and 2 comfy adirondack chairs. The windows are very large in the chalet which let in plenty of light, and there are 2 sets of french doors to open for fresh air. Our experience at Jackson Hole was made perfect by this lovely chalet. The owner and his family are very nice and accommodating. We really look forward to renting from them again in the future!

Owner's Response: Greg, Thank you for your kind thoughts. We are going out to JH next week for the rest of the ski season. I am glad you had such a nice time, we enjoy the process of meeting new people but did not get a chance to talk to you while you were there as we were out of the country . Thank you again for your business. Werner

A Real Treat in a Must-Visit Location

  • 5 of 5

We are seasoned VRBO vacationers, and have visited many National Parks in the US and Canada. This was our second trip to the Tetons, but for a longer stay than before. We typically love to stay in a National Park, if possible, to be on the front lines of trails, wildlife activity, and ambiance. However, staying at the Chalet was the BEST decision we made! The Chalet is absolutely beautiful inside, with rich wood, tons of windows and natural light, and the perfect size for a couple looking to spread out further than your classic National Park rooms. I was afraid the location would be too inhabited for me....typically we like extreme privacy and being away from it all. However, there was literally no one else around, it was quiet, peaceful, yet so convenient to everything! What really nailed it for me were the dining options literally walking distance! I am the chef in the house, and it was so nice to get off a long hiking trail, meander into a local restaurant, and have some of the best-tasting brews and meals going! I miss those meals!!!! Had we not stayed here, and opted for park lodging, we would have been so disappointed!

Can't recommend this chalet enough! The owner was delightfully accommodating, the hot tub was a perk after long hikes, the fireplace a crackling treat, plenty of space, gorgeous bathroom with water pressure to beat any I've had! Kitchen is small but functional, and was perfect for morning breakfasts and coffee, while watching the paragliders coast off the mountain! That was a treat!

Wildlife was fantastic! Our only regret was that Moose-Wilson road was closed our entire visit, however, we found alternate routes that brought us Bison, Pronghorn antelope, and lots of Moose sightings....so maybe it was meant to be!

We would absolutely stay here again, and really feel it was a good value, when compared to other lodging costs in Teton Village and Jackson Hole. We felt incredibly safe, centrally located to everything, and cannot emphasize enough how kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly all the staff and service personnel were in the Village! I could live here!

Right at home in this special hidden gem. A local and luxurious experience.

  • 5 of 5

Days before an impromptu summer vacation to ‘the Hole,’ my husband called on this magical little studio chalet in Teton Village. The owner was like a good friend eager to welcome us plainsmen from Iowa to a quaint mountain adventure only a local could offer and only a home could host. We never felt like tourists, resort guests, vacationers, or visitors in a vacation rental; we felt like the place was ours. We had our dog, Butler, along and our needs were assessed and planned for ahead of time. After a 16 hour drive it was simply amazing to arrive to the comforts of home. Our lifestyle never missed a beat.

As a health conscious couple, we enjoyed everything about the property – the gourmet kitchen (and Le Creuset cookware), ample fresh air and sunshine from indoor/outdoor spaces, even the ‘no shoes’ rule on the main living level. The bed was divine and the bathroom linens and amenities luxurious. The structure itself was quality-crafted with very nice finishes; the inside squeaky clean, and the outdoor grounds immaculate. I enjoyed doing my yoga practice every morning on the patio terrace before an organic breakfast, courtesy of my husband, using the local ingredients from the market just down the road. During the days we hiked, rafted, rode the gondola, strolled the village, golfed (at Werner’s excellent course recommendation), took photographs, rode bikes, enjoyed the National Parks, or just relaxed on the deck of our house with coffee or wine while watching the hot air balloons or parasailing guides mosey down the side of the Teton Mountains.

Most evenings we tried a different local restaurant, our favorite also one of Werner’s suggestions – the Italian eatery right there in the village. We also had a great experience at Local Restaurant in Jackson Hole. I had the elk medallions with sweet potato puree and huckleberry sauce that I’m still having dreams of at night!

We were absolutely in Heaven with the crisp dry mountain air, warm days / cool nights (great for a hot tub soak under the stars), and all the locally sourced food and creative cocktails. We didn’t turn the TV on once and left for home saying, “this is living.” This trip has forever changed the way we travel. Thanks, Werner, for thinking of everything in this cozy little place! Our only regret is that we didn’t use the fireplace, so we hope to return for ski season!
