Weekend with Friends
Love this property has a million dollar view and is so relaxing and comfortable looking forward to many more stays here!
loved the view
This property has the most relaxing, beautiful view (in my opinion). Everything was as advertised. The owner is nice and prompt, a pleasure to deal with. Would consider renting again (so we could explore the area more). Thank you.
Thanks for the review and I do hope that you can make it back some day soon,
What a lovely home and what a fantastic piece of property. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I'm coming back next year...Bob Simek
Thanks for the kind words and looking forward to having you back.
This was our second year renting this property. It’s waterfront location is ideal and home very comfortable - accommodating a large group easily with much to do. Marshal is very quick to respond which is so appreciated!
Our group loves to kayak, hike and bike all within easy reach.
A dream house by the lake
The house was lovely, bright, homely, scrupulously clean and had everything needed for a family of six on holiday. The setting was peaceful, with shady trees and the lake greeting us every morning. Canoeing and kayaking was a highlight and something that our 11 year old son had not done before. He had a wonderful time! We saw lots of wildlife; geese and their goslings, foxes, deer and some little creatures that we don’t have in the UK! Communication with Marshal was easy and his replies were prompt and very helpful. Katie’s Country Store in East Otis is well worth a visit. We are planning our return trip for 2021 already. Thank you Marshal for sharing your lovely house.
Beautiful rustic setting on a lake. Looking at the map, the marker is off: our property is ON the lake, and Candlewood Road is not as marked, not near the lake. Our property is at between the end of Langdon Lane and the lake. Quiet roads (Vine St) off the property lead to trails through the woods -- walk a mile through the woods to Katie's Country Store. Skate, walk, or ski to islands in the reservoir (in warmer weather, take the kayak or canoe and pick blueberries). Snowmobile to the local state park, Tollland State Forest, that surrounds 1/2 of the lake. Otis is a town that hasn't changed much in 50 years -- country stores, small restaurants, rural setting with a community used to meeting needs of vacationers and boaters. Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Butternut and Jiminy Peak all nearby.
Other Activities: skiing, skating, ice fishing, snowmobiling, walking through woods, leaf peeping, bird-watching, swimming, canoeing, kayaking
