Diamond in the rough

  • 4 of 5

We had an outstanding experience here! The little goodie basket was such a nice touch. We also got some excellent photos of the night sky. There is very little light pollution out here.

The fireplace was nice and cozy, and we all slept very well. We really enjoyed not having to worry about sheets and towels.

The kitchen is very well stocked full of utensils and cooking stuff.

Only negatives are the twin beds are a little squeaky, and the downstairs shower wasn't getting hot water for some reason. Don't count on being able to use the wi-fi, as the satellite uplink is on par with a 33.6k modem. Write down your directions beforehand!

Tip: don't get here at night. It is very dicey to find in the dark! And pay attention to the "street" names; there are two "2nd St"s back there!

Thank you Barry & Tamara!

Like a little gem in the desert

  • 5 of 5

After a noisy night in Las Vegas, this cabin is heaven! It's QUIET, clean and cozy. The sunrise was gorgeous from the direction of Humphreys peak. The desert sunset and starry night sky were quite amazing too. For entertainment, I'd suggest to add a few children DVDs if it's possible. Thanks for the snacks, bottle water and wine!

Visit the Grand Canyon, and sleep without the crowd.

  • 5 of 5

This modern house is the perfect place from which to visit the Grand Canyon. It is just a short drive to the park, and when you are done with your day, you can retreat from the crowds to the peace and quiet of the high desert. Star gazing is excellent. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are quite comfortable. There is even a Weber grill! (Bring your own charcoal.) The host host is extremely friendly and helpful. Note that the WiFi is very slow so don't plan on downloading or uploading much on the internet.

We really enjoyed staying in this cozy home. It was perfect for our family. It was located perfectly between Grand Canyon and Williams. We loved the peace and quiet of this secluded home. It had everything we needed.

You're going to LOVE this perfect vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

This house (despite the great description on this website) exceeded our expectations!

It was the perfect place to unwind and relax after a day at the Grand Canyon and surrounding attractions.

Every comfort was thought of (including an awesome goodie basket with snacks, bottled water and a bottle of wine!) and it was made to feel like our home.

The porches were my favorite part - got to enjoy the sunsets and the sunrises.

Tamara was fabulous to work with and gave me some ideas of local activities.

(Be sure to check out Slide Rock State Park near Sedona - http://azstateparks.com/Parks/SLRO)

My kids (8 & 12) loved the house as well and didn't want to leave!

Lastly, to the owners Tamara and Barry - thank you for all of your efforts that go into maintaining such a lovely home.

It made our trip all the more memorable!
