Big, Clean, Easy....really Nice Loft! & experience

We booked a last minute 2-night stay prior to departing for our cruise out of Miami. Hotel prices for our group of 7 were somewhat expensive (as we would have had to get a minimum of 2 rooms at $350+ plus fees each room) so we instead opted for this vacation rental despite the short duration and never having rented one of these before. In all honesty, we thought the pictures looked a little too good to be true but the property turned out to be quite nice (as was the owner when we called) and it all was like it looked in the listing.

Overall, the rental process was smooth and easy (booked & paid online) , and it felt like checking into a hotel even with our flight being delayed and us not getting in until 1 am (the front desk Security guard checks you in and they are there 24 hours).

The loft itself had a really nice layout with lots of seating areas/couches, big entertainment area, 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen. Our group really enjoyed being in the apartment (especially since it rained quite a bit) and the TV but we also liked the building, pool and beach on our second day. Place came with parking but we didn't use it and it took about 5-10 minutes to get to south beach via uber. Would definitely stay here again (especially for the price) and would recommend.

Nice & Convenient

We came to Miami for an all girls birthday vacation. The beach is literally right behind the building! When we arrived to the actual unit it was not as big as it appears in the pictures. The property is located in north beach so an lyft or uber was less than a 10 min ride to south beach depending on traffic. The parking was included in the rental which saved us $36 per day. We didn't use the upstairs part of the unit at all because we were afraid to climb the ladder & couldn't get our luggage up. One of the bathrooms had a sewer smell so no one wanted to use that bathroom and the dryer was broken. The unit wasn't equipped with enough bath towels & linens for 8 people, so I'm glad some of us had bought our own towels. Greg is very nice & helpful with just a phone call or text away. The place needs a few more updates but for a small weekend trip it was a good place to stay especially for spring break weekend and being so close to all the amenities we wanted. I wouldn't recommend if people like privacy or have kids because basically everyone sleeps in one common area and there is no separation between spaces. I love the idea of the new york loft & with some small fixes this place could be 4-5 star easily. When I come back to Miami I would consider staying here again in hopes that some minor changes would be made. Thanks Greg for all your help.

Very happy to know that your experience was pleasant & that you would consider returning back for another stay!!! (...that fact alone speaks VOLUMES) With that said, I also appreciate the constructive feedback & you can be sure that all of your points will be addressed. (...To that end) -First, let me confirm your (absolutely correct) observation that for anyone looking for that 'typical condo' (w/"traditional style bedrooms") my listing will NOT fit the bill! (a point I make sure to highlight & explain when I speak with prospective tenants live--as I did with you during our initial convo) --->Instead, (as I think you agree) my unit is a unique 'NY Style LOFT' apartment (as such) w/high ceilings (20&18FT), a grand living room (complete with a giant floor-to-ceiling glass wall/window), modern layout, & plenty of open (& loungey) spaces designed/tailored for those groups (&families) who are more concerned with having "larger/open/group-friendly/ conducive/cool" areas to be together/hang out (vs. having private bedrooms). -2nd, just to clarify--my property is NOT in North Beach. Rather, its located (some 15mins/25+Blocks SOUTH) in the millionaires row section of MIAMI BEACH (mid-beach as described by the locals)--which (as you point out) is a 5minute Uber NORTH of South Beach -For a group your size there should have been a minimum of 10 towels at set up & there should have also been at least 8 sets of bed linens (some beds are able to hold more than one person) located in the left (standing) closet & within the unique shelves/storage areas (inside the roll out platform bed itself) - The 2nd level lofted space is accessed via a pulldown staircase, (much like what you would find when accessing an attic of a suburban home). --->Some tenants utilize this entire area as an extra sleeping space, others simply store their empty luggage/containers out of the way of the downstairs & still some others choose not to use the space at all (...most often because they don't need it, or if (as in your case) they do not feel capable/comfortable climbing up & down the pull down staircase. (We obviously encourage your own discretion & respect your personal safety). -Not sure about the odor, perhaps because both bathrooms were updated/renovated (complete with new plumbing that had just been completed in the bldg)? Also, 2 new hair dryers were just purchased for the unit

Much Nicer Than Expected

The loft is great! Big, bright, clean, open and modern. Owner (Gregory) said the place was recently renovated or upgraded and we found this to be true once we arrived. The pictures are good, but don't quite capture the feeling you get when you walk through the front door and see how large the space really is. Everyone's favorite was the glass wall.

Bldg had everything we needed, beach, pool, little store on site and was a 5-10 min Uber to get to South Beach depending on traffic. Only down side was waiting when we first got their to check in because there were several groups checking in at the same time .

It was doable

The photos looked more appealing than the actual site. There were lots of amenities, but they were stored away in unusual places so you had to search for them. The place was clean, but a little run down and dated. Our biggest problem was the upstairs part because there was a note that said "you can go up at your own risk." We needed the 5th bed, so one of us went up, but it made me uneasy because the ladder was visibly unstable and the balcony looked unstable as well. Again, it was doable and it didn't ruin our trip. We still had a fantastic time. I was just a little disappointed when coming in bc I choose the place and wanted my friend's bachelorette party to start off with a bang once we entered the room, but it didn't. I actually saw disappointment on her face. Mangos was her bang instead and the rest of our activities.
