About andrea centenaro

Several years ago we met here in this piece of paradise. We got married in 2004 and some years ago our family got bigger with the arrival of two beautiful boys.

We lived in our house since we got married until 2010 and enjoyed this beautiful stage of our life in a place which is unique in the world for its beaches, wildlife, international community that is Playa Langosta and in a house so simple and beautiful that we designed according to our taste.

andrea centenaro purchased this house in 2004

Why andrea centenaro chose Playa Langosta

Now our house is available for you to enjoy it with all its positive energy.

During sunny mornings, enjoy breakfast with fresh Costa Rican coffee and the wide variety of natural juices that this country offers, watching the birds that pass in our garden or bathing in the pool.

Read a book on the upstairs terrace at sunset with the sounds of monkeys in the trees surrounding the house.

Have a tropical cocktail in the pool before a delicious dinner watching the stars.

In the warm afternoon after returning from the beach, take a refreshing splash in the pool then prepare a delicious fresh lobster BBQ while listening to good music from our stereo.

These are things we did and are part of wonderful memories that we share and suggest to make and your stay truly enjoyable, memorable and unique to the location and the facilities that the home offers.

What makes this house unique

In Tamarindo we own a spa, an organic store, a women’s clothing and accessories boutique and a concierge service.

So in choosing Casa Brisa del Estero, you are not just renting a beautiful villa near a beautiful beach, but are also hiring tourism specialists who are at your disposal to help every wish become reality.

Happy holidays

Pura Vidal

There is not enough space in this little box to tell all of you how satisfied I was with this listing. It was perhaps the best one I have encountered. The house is spectacular, sure there are some things that we have to accept because this is Costa Rica after all but all in all, I can't recommend this enough. From the owner, who is an incredible human being, helpful, pleasant, cheerful and hell bent on making certain that your stay is the best possible to the delightful maid that comes to clean up after you, this place is spectacular, really!

We can’t wait to go back!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed at the home for 6 days this April, and we couldn’t have been happier. The home was beautiful and fully stocked for our needs. We loved spending time in the backyard, gazing out at the pool and forest, watching the monkeys, iguanas, hummingbirds, and butterflies. Andrea was extremely helpful in helping us set up airport transfers and excursions, extremely responsive before and during the trip. The locals were so friendly and we just loved everything about Playa Langosta and Tamarindo, never once questioning our safety. Though the walk to town is doable, I would highly recommend renting a golf cart to get around. The Langosta Beach Club was our favorite plant to set up on the beach, as for a nominal fee we had full access to their beach loungers, refreshing infinity pool, gym, bathrooms, and even the cabanas. Their food was really good too! Restaurants we enjoyed were The Ocean and Green Papaya Taco Bar. And the day trip we took to Hacienda Guachipelin was a once-in-a-lifetime experience... truly breathtaking. All in all, our first visit to Costa Rica was everything we hoped and more. We’re already talking about when we can return.

Good, a few small things to change.

  • 4 of 5

The property was pretty. The pool was awesome, and thank GOD for air conditioning. For 245 a night I want to suggest some improvements. First, there are a LOT of bugs. Mostly ants and spiders, but we also killed a small scorpion as well. (A red one.) we never actually met Andreas despite reading and being told we would. Second, there are absolutely no kitchen essentials. With so many people coming in and out and not wanting to buy whole bottles of oils we thought maybe there should be some olive oil and salt and pepper in the house at least so travelers don’t have to buy those things only to use them shortly then pack them home. There was also no laundry detergent and most shops only sell big bags.

Those aren’t major flaws but things to maybe take into consideration! Overall we really liked the house. The maid came a couple times and tidied up which we sincerely truly appreciated. She was super lovely. And we think maybe the security guard cleaned up the pool a couple times as well which was awesome! The location is nice. A bit of a walk from town but it was nice to have our own little area. We did see some monkeys and a good amount of iguanas in the back yard!

Owner's Response: Thanks Michaela to choose our home and rate us with 4 stars ! I'm sad you find that property has lots of bugs, but honestly we are very against sprays chemicals to avoid something that is part of local nature, and you will find either in any 5 star hotel room also. It depends sometimes about wind, humidity and luck ! About kitchen is the first time we have a complaint, before we was used to leave some basics but other guest make us comments that they will not feeling confortable using packages already in use. We will ask before arrival if guest prefer get basics kitchen at arrival. About me I used to live in Tamarindo for 13 years and since we are renting our home I'm some thousands of km away and we have a tremendous staff taking care of the property so I will go read all description of home because is kind of difficult for me be there for check ins-out. Our maid told us you and our party were great guests, I hope have you soon again at home !!!! All my best Andrea

We spent seven nights at Casa Brisa in February. The pictures and description on the website do not reflect the real condition of this property. At one time this was likely a very nice property, but it has deteriorated immensely and is clearly neglected. Although the owner calls it "his home" on the website, we suspect he is really an absentee owner.

Immediately upon arrival, we discovered that the clothes dryer did not work, the phone did not work, the Jacuzzi jets in the pool did not work, a ceiling fan that had blades hanging almost straight down, loose deck boards leading to the pool, and rather neglected lawn. Over time we found that the circulating pump and skimmer in the pool was not functional, there were banging roof panels above the deck, one stove burner did not work, a tub drain broken (with the parts laying nearby), neither bidet was connected to water, every room of the house had ants, the pool floor was sandy and dirty (however, the water was always clear), one toilet did not flush completely most of the time, and no coffee grinder and no desk upstairs (as stated on the website amenities). Some of these things did not affect our stay (like the non-working bidets), but they go to show the lack of attention by the owner.

The website states maid service twice weekly, however the maid Elizabeth was only sent out once on day 5, and she did a good job. The outdoor grill was not what we were expecting.

The internet worked well, but we could not get the alarm system to work. We found the beds to be comfortable, the kitchen was fairly well provisioned (although there was only one bowl for the dinnerware set), the outdoor porch area was nice (except for the road noise and barking dogs on both sides of the property) and there was lots of wildlife - iguanas, birds, langostas (locusts), geckos and nearby howler monkeys.

We had a difficult time getting our damage deposit back, and lost $65 along the way. This may be because we dealt with the owner directly as opposed to going through VRBO/HomeAway (we will never do that again).

Bottom line - We expected a much nicer home based on description and previous reviews and for what we paid. Check out other places before considering this one.

Owner's Response: Dear Jaqueline, I'm sorry you leave home disappointed. Unfortunately some issues of the house appears under the date of your arrival and had not time to fix. Right now most are already fixed like dryer, phone, bowl replace and deck issue etc. Other are some of aspects that all frequent travelers in the tropics knows such find a bug in a 250m2 home is pretty normal because we are in the forest and is not meaning that property is not properly cleaned. Our maid work with us since many years and this is the first complaint about her. She normally so probably there was a misunderstood because sometimes guest ask us to use less her services or do not go at all. Anyway I very appreciate your review , it helps to elevate standards and maintain it as we did in all previous years. I'm glad you enjoyed area and beautiful Costa Rica. Sincerely Andrea

Great home in Costa Rica

  • 5 of 5

Casa Brisas is a comfortable, modern home that suited our family of four quite well for our week in Costa Rica. The home is situated about a mile south of Tamarindo and a block from the ocean at Playa Langosta. The pool kept us cool, as did the air conditioning units in both bedrooms. The local host, Laura, made reservations for surfing lessons and a kayak trip. (Thanks again!). The dining was much better than expected with French trained chefs at the Langosta Beach Club (fish in champagne sauce with mushrooms was amazing), Pangas on the north end of Tamarindo on the beach was also a great dining experience and Risto PIzza in Langosta was great pizza. In terms of the VRBO experience, Andrea communicates quickly with clarity. Casa Brisas is our first choice for a return trip to Costa Rica.
