The very quiet villa is located on a rd. 15. 000 square meters of land on the outskirts of Puntagorda at an altitude of 780m above sea level. N. The original old Canarian house offers after extensive refurbishment a high standard of living and unobtrusive luxury in a mixture of local style elements and more modern furnishing components (*** more info also on our site on the net, just enter Relva Larga ***)

The completely newly designed outdoor area is terraced and nestles harmoniously into the landscape through its organically shaped natural stone walls.

Enjoy the almost 5 x 10m large, heated pool (1.40m deep) and take a sunbath on the Mamor occupied pool terraces (unique on La Palma!) or relax in the sun-protected pool house, where B. for cooler evenings a stove is available (but not to use in Waldbrandgefahr).

Or explore the garden and the spacious grounds. The vast majority is well walkable, here you will find citrus trees, stone fruit trees, fig, almond and avocado and olive trees, banana trees, various types of palm trees, succulents and much more. Discover your favorite places: relax in the pool house with views of nature and the sea, fascinated by the sunsets on the spacious "balcony", leaning back on one of the terrace seats or with shared meals, eg. B. in front of the outdoor kitchen with gas grill and wood-fired pizza oven.

The house consists of two living areas. In the upper part (about 115 square meters of living space) are living room, winter garden, balcony and kitchen and two bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms. There is space for two to four adults and one child. Under the gable roof is also a retreat for the quieter moments.

In the lower area is a 45sqm apartment with light-flooded living room, bedroom (double bed) & bathroom and spacious terrace. There is space for two adults and one child (extra bed).

The spatial separation between the upper and lower areas provides some seclusion and privacy, ideal for the use of two or three couples or for families with children (above) and grandparents (below).

The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning. On cooler days, the underfloor heating prepares a pleasant living environment in all rooms. Only the living space of the apartment in the lower area is heated by a stove.

When renovating buildings and furnishing, we paid attention to the use of as natural as possible building materials, which do without unnecessary chemical additives. All beds and wardrobes, the kitchen as well as the windows and doors were made by a local joinery in solid wood. Solid wood flooring in the bedrooms and the upper living room provide a cozy atmosphere. Hand knotted kilim rugs complete the picture. Kitchen, corridor and wet areas are covered with self-designed cement tiles based on the old Canarian material usage. The living space in the apartment is designed with Spanish marble slabs (Crema Marfil).

The 90x200cm mattresses are suitable for allergy sufferers and offer firm lying comfort (no continuous mattress in the double beds). The sofa bed (60x200cm) is suitable for children up to 8 years or 140cm height.

The idea of ​​sustainability continues with energy supply. A solar system ensures the power supply and operates two heat pumps, which provide hot water and the heating of the living spaces and the pool. For longer periods of bad weather (unlikely) and peak loads, the public power grid is ready for protection.

The pool heating can heat the water to about 22-24 degrees from autumn to spring, in the summer, even without heating higher temperatures can be reached. The water temperature depends on the prevailing weather conditions and therefore can not be guaranteed.

To satisfy the culinary needs, a fully equipped kitchen is available in the house. With the gas cooking station of Lacanche (traditional French manufacturer) even more ambitious hobby cooks get their money's worth. Gas grill and pizza oven in the outdoor kitchen complete the offer.

Throughout the house you have wireless internet connection (wifi at no extra charge). In both living areas, you can use your mobile device (smart phone, labtop, tablet) to transfer music and Internet radio to a powerful speaker. In the "retreat room" (gable room) there is a TV set with satellite reception.

The Villa Relva Larga and its guests are looked after locally by Hausservice La Palma. Theresa and Pascal welcome you in Puntagorda, accompany you to the house and assist you during your stay with words and deeds. If required and after consultation additional services can be provided by Theresa and Pascal (eg Shopping service, intermediate cleaning, child care, etc) for a fee.

Stylish house with beautiful views

We spent a wonderful week here. The house is very stylish with high quality fixtures and fittings. The views are sublime. The location is very peaceful but only a short walk to Puntagorda. If you are looking for relaxation and walking in the surrounding beautiful countryside, this is the perfect place. An unspoiled corner of the Canaries, this is fabulous.
