Our one bedroom condo is perfect for a couple who want all the amenities of an upscale condo and the intimacy of your own home.

Our WATERFRONT Penthouse condo at Grande Bay is optimally located in the closest building to charming Cruz Bay Harbor, impeccably decorated in chic, modern Ethan Allen style furnishings and lively, authentic Caribbean style artwork and photography.

This 1 bedroom 1.5 bath condo has been decorated to be suitable for all ages, from young honeymooners to couples seeking an upscale retreat. The setting is perfect for every time of day, from the aroma of your coffee in the morning until your sunset cocktails watching the glorious sunset over St. Thomas, with the enticing smell of the ocean, views of other islands and sounds of palm trees.

The advantages of our 1 bedroom Penthouse over other Grande Bay units:

The unobstructed WATERFRONT view – no other buildings are between you and the water - so the views are impressive! Plus, on our top (4th) floor condo boasts classic Caribbean vaulted ceilings.

The oversized outdoor living area has a covered dining area with seating for four and two lounge chairs and with two large comfortable bar stools and table, great for watching the sunset over the harbor and beyond to the other US Virgins Islands in sight.

You will feel right at home in the living room with all of its conveniences, including a 32” flat screen TV, Cable TV and DVD player. The kitchen has top of the line stainless steel appliances and granite countertop with all of the conveniences of home and more, such as a Keurig (coffee maker), blender, toaster oven – everything you need to relax and enjoy your home away from home.

What makes this condo unique

Our condo is located on the top floor of the very front building in the very front, with street level reserved parking. The Penthouse condos have the largest outside verandas

Perfect Condo on an absolute perfect island! My 3rd stay at this unit.

This condo was perfect for 2. Absolutely the best patio of all units at Grande Bay with a magnificent view. Sat out there morning and night. The condo is well equipped with everything we needed. It was a simple walk into town which made it unnecessary to rent a Jeep, however there is a parking spot with the unit if you do choose to rent a car. The owners have always been so kind and helpful. We'll be back again.

Beautiful setting!!!

My spouse and I spent a lovely week at this waterfront penthouse at the Grande Bay Condo complex. Grande Bay is strategically located downtown within walking distance to dozens of restaurants and shops. The condo is tastefully decorated with artwork done by local artists. There is a nice, airy open floor plan with kitchenette and living area. The kitchenette is well equipped with cooking utensils and a Keurig coffee maker. We spent most of our time outdoors on the wrap around deck which has spectacular views from this penthouse location. Sitting at the bistro table which has high back chairs, sipping wine, and watching the sunset over St. Thomas was amazing! All the north shore beaches are beautiful, especially Hawksnest. We had a wonderful week at this condo and look forward to returning.

Location, location, location

The best location for two travelers to stay in St. John. My husband and I stayed for a week in this great condo which was well equipped (even had a large flashlight for when the power went out one evening). The owner left ample supplies to get started on our vacation and the unit was very clean. Early morning and late at night we spent most of our time on the amazing patio overlooking the bay. St. John's has wonderful restaurants and we were able to walk to most. The only negative I have is the very uncomfortable sofa in the living area, however fortunately we didn't need to spend much time there.

Great place to stay!

This is a great place to stay while in St. John. It is within walking distance to the ferry, restaurants, shops and Cruz Bay. Perfect location!

The property was clean and well maintained and it had everything that we needed. The listing description is accurate and it was everything that we expected and more.

We really enjoyed our stay here and have already booked another reservation for next year. It is a great place to stay and a perfect "home away from home"

while on vacation.

Unit needs new mattress and a box spring

We have stayed in many units at Grande Bay and this was the only disappointment. The indoor furniture needs replacing. The bed creaks as you get in it, I am sure it is on its last leg. It is on a wood platform and the mattress is very old. There is no box spring. It was a very uncomfortable 10 days. The couch cushions are also old and flat so you are sitting on wicker. There just was not a comfortable place to sit or sleep. The unit is lacking in kitchen utensils (one small fry pan for eggs) and a working space in the kitchen. Most units have some basics like salt, pepper, sugar, etc. None there. The pictures of the patio look very inviting but the outdoor furniture has been replaced with plastic wicker. Not quite as impressive as the pictures or description. When we arrived the unit smelled of smoke. Oscar told us to open the windows and air the place out. That did not help. After days of avoiding the unit, the maintenance manager brought up a glade automatic air spray. He found that someone had burnt popcorn in the microwave and every time we used it the smell permeated the room. It is likely the microwave should be replaced to get rid of the burnt smell. Grande Bay is a great location and resort. This unit just needs some attention.

Owner's Response: I am sorry to hear that the guests did not enjoy their stay. We take our guests visits very seriously which is why I have reached out to these guests to no response. They neither contacted the owner nor our on-island representative to express any concerns during their stay and the items which . I would also note our mattress is less than 3 years old and box springs do not belong on a platform bed. Additionally, most of our furniture on the balcony has been replaced in the last six months. While clearly this was not the right fit for our guests, I do believe that it was not based on any promises that we made. We do clearly state our kitchen is exactly as pictured. We encourage our guests to reach out to us so we can address their needs in real time and we will continue to do so in the future.

Car: not necessary

The Virgin Islands National Park Visitors Center is located a short walk along the waterfront from Grand Bay, which is the welcome center to our beautiful National Park beaches and hiking trails! Trails range from very easy to a bit challenging.
