Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

This apartment is perfect for vacation or business travelers. It has two bedrooms, two baths, a nice living room and a fully functional kitchen. It can sleep up to six. There is a king bed in the master, a queen bed in the 2nd bedroom and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room.

St John’s was built in 1910. We find that people who love old houses really admire this place. It is a charming old building with hardwood floors and fancy period woodwork. There are twenty five apartments in the building on two floors, above retail businesses along Pike Street. #309 is on the top floor and has a great view down onto the street from both the living room and the master bedroom.

We've made it feel like home. The living room has a seven foot super comfortable couch, two stuffed chairs and a 37-inch LCD TV with DVD player. The apartment has wireless high speed Internet. It's a great place to visit and relax!

The second bedroom is in the middle of the apartment. It's window looks into a light well instead of down on the street. This makes that room the most quiet in the building.

The master bedroom is large and very comfortable. It has a great bed--a California King. And all TV's have Dish Network with hundreds of channels and HBO.

It's a great location but a busy neighborhood. That means that there's some street noise. There's lots of traffic out there, and at night there are lots of people around, because the neighborhood has so much fun stuff to do. We're really not in the center of Capitol Hill's super busy area, we're about 3 blocks away. Capitol Hill has become Seattle's most fun, lively and growing area. Three blocks from us there are several blocks that are just filled with restaurants and bars. There's probably 40 of them within a 6 block radius. On weekend nights it's an amazing scene. There are literally hundreds, maybe thousands, of people out and about having a good time. Even if you don't want to go into any of the bars it is worth it just to come a watch!

About Christine Heller

We have eight short terms rental units in the same building, which Oda owns. She has St. John's as an investment, but she's not a big real estate investor, it's her only building. We've had a very good experience with it--the location is excellent and the people we've met here are wonderful. There's nothing not to be liked! It's a great neighborhood, vibrant, filled with things to do and places to go. It's much better than downtown Seattle, which closes up shop in the evening and has an empty, big tall buildings. Our area comes alive at night, filled with restaurants, bars and boutiques. It's like being in New York City or maybe Paris, except it's Seattle. Everybody's friendly here. That's why she bought the place, and that's why she loves it!

RESTAURANTS: If you're new to the area you will be surprised by how many great restaurants there are within a few short blocks of St. John's. We have three in the building: The Other Coast Cafe features East Coast Style Sandwiches, St. John's Bar and Eatery is an American/bistro, and Ayutthaya is a Thai restaurant. All of these are great places! On our block there is yet another fun place for lunch-a sandwich shop called The Honey Hole. Heading toward Broadway, there is a Subway and the QFC Grocery Store. Once you get to Broadway there are restaurants in every direction, several to choose from, on every block. Without trying hard we could name 25 great eateries, all within a short walk. It's a diner's delight!

Good Location

We were 2 senior couples from Australia, traveling together.

We found St Johns Apartment very comfortable, clean and tidy

with 2 bedrooms & bathrooms separated from one another, the beds very comfortable.

Lounge/dining and kitchen had every thing you needed

QFC grocery store across the road was very handy.

We didn't have a car and used the Local bus to get back up the hill at night, but a easy walk down the hill to Downtown and all Attractions

The two steep flights of stairs was our only problem, with our large suitcases

we would stay here again and recommend it to most people

Great central place to stay to visit Capitol Hill

I have stayed at St. John's apts several times to visit my brother in Capitol Hill. These apts are very comfortable, with very comfortable beds, nice furnishings, and multiple cable tv's. There is a QFC across the road to stock up on groceries, and many great restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs to visit nearby. The managers are very responsive and helpful! I recommend this place!

Awesome location

We had a great time in Seattle. Great location with walking distance to downtown or short drive to main attractions. It was hot in Seattle during our stay and air conditioner in living room was not enough to make it comfortable sleep in small bedroom. But I think those hot days are not usual weather for Seattle :) Highly recommend that place.

Love this place!

My friends and I stay at the St. John's when we attend Seattle's Decibel festival. We love the location, the space and the back deck on a sunny afternoon :) The close proximity to pho, cheap pizza in the early hours, and a grocery store across the street are a bonus to an already lovely place to stay in Capital Hill. <3 <3 <3

Great stay in the heart of Seattle

I’ll never stay anywhere else

Our stay literally could not have been better. Christine, the manager, was friendly, helpful to a fault and so understanding when our flight was cancelled and we needed to stay another night. Even though we needed to change apartments, she made the move seamless. In fact, it was fun getting to stay in one of the other apartments. From the location it is so easy to get to anywhere in the city, without getting into traffic if you are driving or use the easy access to multiple bus routes nearby. Both apartments were extremely well appointment. Coming from our home in the woods to an apartment on a city street (although a quiet one by city standards), we especially appreciated the white noise box in each bedroom. We will be back.

Location

St. John's is located about 8 blocks from the Washington State Convention Center, on the same street. It's an easy walk. After you pass by the Center you're in the downtown shopping district with Nordstrom's, Macy's and all the big name stores. If you keep going you end at the Pike Place Market, one of Seattle's big tourist draws. (For a good reason, it's a fun place!) The entire walk from us to the market is 16 blocks.

Other Activities: We're in the middle of a very lively neighborhood. Exploring it will give you days of fun. Across the street is a large grocery store, a drug store, dry cleaners and a UPS shipping facility. There are many botiques, restaurants and night spots in the neighborhood.
