HOLIDAYS IN LONGIARÙ IN THE SKI AREA KRONPLATZ Between nature and tradition in one of the prettiest villages of Val Badia and the Dolomites The small village of Longiarù was built at the gates of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park and thanks to its location away from the valley it is different from the better known tourist resorts of the Val Badia , it still retains many traces of local customs. Moreover, it is a place in close harmony with the natural paradise of the Dolomites. Some of these traces can undoubtedly be found in the "Les Viles", the old farmhouses so characteristic of Val Badia and in all their glory in the "Viles" of Seres and Mischì. The mill valley in Longiarù is perhaps the most eloquent example of the natural economy, which prevailed not so long ago in the entire Val Badia. So many typical products are produced here, which are also used in our kitchen. Other customs and traditions can be observed at events of a religious or cultural nature throughout the year. During your holiday in Longiarù you will surely catch a few words of Ladin, a Romansh language that is still held high in this valley. This strong cultural character, the tranquility and peace, the closeness to the UNESCO World Natural Heritage and the slopes of the Plan de Corones ski area make Longiarù a unique place to spend your holiday in the mountains, far from the stress, only strengthened by positive energy , LONGIARÙ, A HIKING PARADISE IN THE GADERTAL Summer outdoor activities in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park The small village of Longiarù grows in size when one thinks of the endless possibilities that hikers can enjoy here. From challenging hikes to placid walks for families with toddlers, the surroundings of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park and the park itself offer an overwhelming landscape of rare beauty, including mountain biking, via ferrata, horse riding and other stimulating activities in the great outdoors. From the Ciasa Linda you can start walking directly to the majestic shapes of the Dolomites and such places as Antersasc, Cima Dodici, and the Puez plateau with the homonymous refuge, Medalghes, the Genova refuge and the breathtaking panorama of Sasso Putia on 2 872 meters above sea level. Easier, but no less interesting, are the walks through the Mühlental, the Roda dles Viles or the ascent to the Alm Vaciara on the panoramic meadows at the foot of the Peitlerkofel. The whole village is surrounded by fabulous places where you can relax and find yourself, among forests, crystal clear streams, blooming meadows and the sublime beauty of the Dolomites, everyone will find their place to fall in love. WHITE WEEKS IN THE SKI PARADISE KRONPLATZ Winter holidays in Longiarù in the Ladin Dolomites Longiarù (Campill), a district of St. Martin in Thurn, is only a few kilometers from the two ski resorts of Val Badia: Alta Badia and Kronplatz. The latter is particularly easy to reach in just a few minutes by car and offers direct access to the 100km of fun on the slopes of the Plan de Corones ski area via the Piculin ski slope. Also from Piculin it is possible to take the free ski bus to the Sompunt slope of the Alta Badia, from where you have access to the famous ski tours of the Dolomiti Superski. Nearby you will also find two suggestive areas for cross-country skiing on the Würzjoch at Antermoia and the Armentara meadows at La Valle (star), next to the more visited centers in the Rautal in St. Vigil and Armentarola near St. Kassian. Longiarù is a popular destination for touring skiers who, in the tranquility of the terrain and the beauty of the Dolomites, find the perfect place to pursue this exhilarating sport. Snowshoes are also a great alternative to explore the white snow coat of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. Families can go for a walk on groomed snowdrifts and then slide down again.
