This apartment was exactly what we were looking for- clean, great location to transit and some of the top sites of the city. Rachael was an amazing host. I literally booked the apartment 4 days before going to New York. She responded quickly, was easy to work with, worked with my needs, super friendly, and gave us a lot of great tidbits for enjoying NYC. I come to NYC every couple of years and will definitely use her again on my next visit.
My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children 13, 9) stayed in Rachael's apartment for our Christmas vacation in the city. The location was perfect, literally steps to several different subway lines which was great since it was SO cold!
The unit itself was as described. Don't expect luxury, but at the same time that's not was you expect or are paying for. The apartment is small but still larger than a hotel room. We were able to use the small kitchenette to make a meal and eat our breakfasts. There were plenty of sheets and bedding as well. Be ready for a lot of stairs with no elevator, again, not a surprise but something to remember.
One item to note, the tv in the unit was not working for us so I called Rachael to let her know. No kidding, she bought a new tv and had it delivered within 4 hours. We simply left for our evening out and the new (very nice) tv was waiting for us when we returned. That's great service and very much appreciated! Our family was able to spend our evenings enjoying family movies together.
All in all, I would highly recommend this apartment as long as you know what to expect. There is a reason why this unit is affordable, what you don't expect is the great service!
My husband and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend and found it to be perfect for our needs while visiting our college-student daughter. The apartment is clean and comfortable with plenty of towels, good wifi, very nice TV, good air conditioning...really everything we needed. The location was very convenient, too, with easy, budget-minded meals available at nearby Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Garden of Eden. Rachael provided us with lots of great information and was easy to work with. We recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again.
This was the perfect apartment for our requirements. It was in a great location, was very clean, roomy and comfortable. Rachael was wonderful---very reliable, attentive and a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
We will definitely book through her again, and will recommend her to our friends.
The location is perfect. Rachael was great. This does not sleep 4 people. The couch is not a bed, so I am not sure why it is advertised as sleeps 4. you cannot put 2 air mattresses down. Also, the couch is dirty and when we removed the cushions, it looked like it was not vacuumed in years. The sheets are old and stained. The 2 frying pans were are not useable, one is full of rust and the other all of the coating is peeling off. The bathroom was good, the towels were fine. This apt needs a good cleaning. This was mentioned already in a prior review from another renter, and it looks like it was not taken seriously.
Très bonne adresse. Appartement en parfait état et très bien situé. Fonctionnel pour nous qui étions 4. Accueil très chaleureux de la propriétaire. Merci Rachael.
Other Activities: Manhattan's best shopping on Fifth Avenue and great restaurants are all nearby.
