Lomas Mariposa Condominiums are located on 42nd Street between the famous 5th Avenue with its eclectic mix of restaurants, shops and bars, and the white sandy beaches of the Mayan Riviera. Penthouse Mariposa 103 has 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one main and one ensuite), a large living room / dining room, a full kitchen & a laundry room.

Start your morning with a delicious fresh cup of coffee in the morning breeze of our rooftop terrace and enjoy the sounds of Playa del Carmen. Enjoy a home made breakfast of fresh eggs, bacon and fresh orange juice. Or give yourself some time off and enjoy your breakfast at one of the many restaurants on Fifth Avenue. One of our favourite places for breakfast is Cueva del Cango (Monkey Cave) where you are served freshly made juices, fresh eggs (any style) and many other healthy choices. Cueva del Cango is 2 short blocks from Lomas Mariposa.

After a late breakfast, walk to the soft white sandy beaches of the Mayan Riviera and relax to the sound of the waves lapping on the sandy beaches. Read your favourite book while watching morning joggers and midday walkers. Enjoy the scenery. Walk along the long beaches in the warm waters of the Caribbean. The beaches are usually crowded going South but virtually empty going North.

Stroll back to the condo and cool off in the freshwater pool located in the center courtyard. Enjoy your favorite cocktail, fresh salsa & chips on the roof top deck and enjoy the remainder of the day in the diminishing heat of the sun, sipping a refreshing Margarita.

If you love to cook, we have a full kitchen with many amenities. Or you can stroll along 5th Avenue or Calle 38 where you will find many restaurants with various offerings from Argentinian Parilla (grilled steak) & Italian dishes to Lebanese & Thai food.

After a lovely dinner, enjoy an evening stroll on 5th Avenue. Splurge on a Haagen-Dazs ice cream or a Starbucks capuccino. Stroll back to Lomas Mariposa for a gentle and relaxing back rub, sipping your favorite wine and enjoy your dreams of the Mayan Riviera.

Why Joe chose Zazil-ha

Playa del Carmen has miles of beautiful white sandy beaches and a large selection of restaurants from all over the world. Shopping in Playa del Carmen is great. It is also close to Cancun which has a large international airport with lots of flights from major cities in North America and Europe. Playa del Carmen has year round warm weather and friendly people. It is located close to historical/archaeological sites such as Coba (which has the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan peninsula) and Tulum and close to ecological parks such as Xcaret and Xelha. Downtown Cancun is only an hour North by bus and Cozumel is only a 30 minute ferry ride from Playa del Carmen. Playa del Carmen has many of activities for all ages.

Perfect location

The condo is located just off of 5th Ave near the start of the long pedestrian friendly, what I call restaurant row.

My stay in the condo was just what i expected, comfortable and quiet complex with a small basic pool in the middle court yard. There are two chairs you can sit and watch the kids.

So nice to be on the 3rd floor, with cross breezes and I had no need of air conditioning. We also have the roof top where Joe has a table umbrella and chairs to enjoy, either for day or evening.

I walked to the beach via the Reef all inclusive and enjoyed the beaches to the north, even walking to coco beach and rented beach chairs for the day. A great cenote for the kids to swim and the bay on that end is wonderful.

Great location

The condo is very spacious, clean and in a great locations. It is only half a block from 5th Avenue but it is far enough that you do not hear any noise from this busy avenue filled with restaurants and shops. It is also close to the beautiful sandy beach. Great communications with the owner and the property manager. Will definitely recommend this condo.

Great condo is a great location

We really enjoyed our stay at Lomas Mariposa. The condo is clean and spacious. It is only a short walk to the beach and less than 100 meters (about 100 yards) from 5th Avenue which is a pedestrian street filled with shops and restaurants. The owner responding promptly to our emails and the property manager is friendly and fluent in English.

We will definitely recommend this condo to our family and friends.

Nice & roomy condo with a great location

We made our reservation only a few weeks before our arrival date but everything went smoothly. The owner responded to our inquiries very promptly and provided us with lots of useful information about the condo and about Playa del Carmen. Volker, the property manager is fluent in English, German and Spanish and he welcomed us to the condo. It is clean and spacious with 2 large bathrooms with walk-in showers same as shown in the photos. The condo is located close to 5th Avenue but far enough from to be very quiet. We will definitely recommend this condo and we hope to return soon.

The colonial city of Merida, capital of the state of Yucatan, is 3 to 4 hours by car. You can also take an air conditioned bus from Playa del Carmen to Merida.
