A restored Craftsman Bungalow built mostly of reclaimed lumber from the Buena Esperanza Plantation. A 2 bedroom with King size beds, 2 baths, features a full kitchen, dining room, living room ,an inglenook with a twin daybed. There is a screen porch for enjoying the garden and passersby. Decorated with many unique boat models and sailing photographs. The Bungalow is situated In the heart of the Downtown, just blocks from the bay front, the many boat yards of St. Augustine and the beautiful Lake Maria Sanchez. The latter is a beautiful place to walk and bicycle. The Buena Esperanza neighborhood contains what has been described as one of the best collections of Victorian homes in St. Augustine.
This is a well-located small house (2BR and 2 BA, one of which has a shower) in a very quiet historic neighborhood of St. Augustine, with the city's central historic district a short drive or a 15 minute walk away. There is a covered front porch and a fenced patio in back, complete with a grapefruit tree with hanging fruit (this was mid-March), and the kitchen is well-designed and well-equipped. There's off-street parking for two cars as well. Overall, a very good base for being a tourist in tourist-centered St. Augustine.
My husband & I spent a long week-end at the Seafarer's Bungalow at the end of January. The bungalow had everything we needed. Loved the back yard. Weather was nice enough that we could sit out on the patio. It was close enough to downtown that we could walk and not have to worry about finding a parking space! Hated to leave!
Cute and quaint in a historic neighborhood . Great beds and very well equipped.
We enjoyed a week in this beautiful home. The kitchen is fully stocked so cooking in was a breeze. The home is tastefully and uniquely furnished and very roomy. We enjoyed sitting outside on the screened in porch early in the mornings and late afternoons. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Just a short trip into the Historic part of St. Augustine from this home also. We also loved that there was a carport to park our car off of the street. Come and stay a week and you will enjoy it as much as we did.
Great place to stay. Only draw back is it is a bit far to the main, historic parts of St Augustine for walking every day. That said, it was a super visit and a great home away from home.
