A holiday flat in an authentic Ticino villa with panoramic views, built in the 16th century has a big private garden with Pergola and a Grotto The flat (ground floor and first floor) has a living area of about 100 sq. meters. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with a fire place with hot air circulation and a large sun-terrace; a kitchen with dining table as well as a bath room. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, two with two single beds each and one with a single bed and if needed a extra bed, as well as a toilet. From each room you will have a marvellous lake view. The flat with central heating is partially renovated and equipped with mostly antique furniture. An outdoor covered swimming pool (2,5 x 7 metres) with a hot shower is located in the garden.

ein bezauberndes Haus

Das Haus ist wunderschön, sehr alt mit viel Flair und Charme. Wir hatten eine herrliche Zeit. Die Lage genial mit herrlicher Sicht, 10 km nach Italien, man ist aber auch dank neuem Tunnel schnell in den Bergen. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und stilvoll eingerichtet, Feuerstelle im Wohnzimmer und in einem Steinhäuschen im Garten machen auch Regentage zum Genuss. Der Blick von der großen Terrasse ist traumhaft. Es war einfach perfekt und wunderschön.

Erholung mit fantastischer Aussicht

Ein Haus mit Charakter, eine Umgebung mit reichlich Ausflugsmöglichkeiten und entspannte Tage und Abende mit umwerfender Aussicht über den Lago Maggiore. Selbst Regentage machen im gemütlich eingerichteten Haus Spass. Die Küche ist umfassend ausgestattet und selbst der Blick aus dem Badezimmer einmalig. Es waren wunderschöne Ferien! Herzlichen Dank!

Fantastic house on the shore of Lago Maggiore

This very charming, but rustic house must have one the most perfect views over Lago Maggiore. The swimming pool was covered and we even used it when it rained. The house has everything you would like (even a beautifully painted ceiling in the main bedroom). The house is a 5 minute drive away from the Italian border. The valleys around the lake provide for excellent drives and walks. The house has its own car park, from where it is about 30 steps up to the house.

We really enjoyed our week here and wished it could have been longer.

Fabulous Place

Dear Sabina

What a fabulous place this is! We still can't get over how wonderful the view is after looking at it for 2 weeks!

The swimming pool was a real luxury and much appreciated. Sorry we smoked you out with the barbecue - blame the sausages.

Do hope we are fitter after walking up from Brissago a few times. Now it is back to work.

Ein herrlicher Urlaub

Wir haben dieses wunderschöne Fleckchen im Internet gefunden und das Haus - oder besser die Villa - auch "live" als ganz herrlich erlebt. Gerne hätten wir mehr über die Geschichte des Hauses erfahren!

Dank der besonderen Ruhe des Hauses konnten wir uns bestens erholen. Auch einige heftige Gewitter haben uns nicht gestört - dadurch hatten wir Zeit in der vorzüglichen Hausbibliothek zu stöbern.

Empfehlenswerte Ausflüge: Natürlich das Hermann Hesse Museum in Montagnola, aber auch die Fahrt nach Como hatte spezielle Reize. Unbedingt sollte mann einen Ausflug zum St. Gotthard Pass machen. Einzigartig ist sicher die romanische Kirche S. Nicolae in Gornico.

Wir werden vor allem die wunderbare Terasse vermissen - einfach nur sitzen und schauen !...

Owner's Response: Ja, ich verstehe was Sie meinen: Die Lage des Hauses ist wirklich einzigartig. Auch wir sitzen sehr gerne auf unserer grossen Sonnenterasse und blicken über den See und in die gegenüber liegenden Hügel und Berge. An klaren Tagen kann man sogar bis nach Bellinzona und bis nach Luino in Italien sehen.

Selten hat uns ein Urlaub so gut gefallen und so gut getan wie dieser !

Die Casa "Al Riale" hat nicht nur schöne Räume, einen tollen Aussichtsbalkon, einen gepflegten Garten und Swimmingpool, sondern darüber hinaus viel Charme.

Das Haus mit seiner langen Geschichte besitzt eine gute Ausstrahlung und ist durchatmet von einem guten Geist!

Wir grüssen alle, die schon da waren und alle, die noch kommen werden !

The villa is located at the edge of a quiet village called Porta, approx. 170 meters above Brissago (15 minutes walk approx.). You will enjoy the superb panoramic view to the lake 'Maggiore' and into the mountains in the back. In Brissago there are a few shops, where you can buy bread groceries and fish. You'll also find two pharmacies, a post office and a tourist office as well as many restaurants. Ascona, Locarno or Italy is only 15 to 20 minutes by car. There are many enjoyable trips you can undertake by boat or by car to places of interest in the Ticino and in Italy. The house is also a starting point for nice walks through the woods or into the mountains nearby (up to 2200 metres).
