No Snow is a spacious single level house overlooking the blue Caribbean. Protected by a reef about 200 yards from shore there is protected snorkeling right off the beach with coral and varied ocean life. Located a mile from Rum Point in Cayman Kai you will see a few beach combers during the day then have the beach to yourself most of the time. With a fully equipped kitchen having two refrigerators you can enjoy snacks and meals together and feed your crew on a budget. A washer and dryer lets you travel light.
For your entertainment No Snow is equipped with books and games, a large plasma TV with cable TV service. The house has a land line phone and broadband internet service with a wireless router.
No Snow also has a built-in safe to protect your valuables.
Nearby are restaurants and a dive shop.
No Snow was built by the family over 40 years. It has been a recreation destination for many, many people over the years. Two to three generations of some families have enjoyed. We hope you enjoy our home.
Don Dickey purchased this house in 1970
The property was purchased and the house built because the island was a beautiful and friendly destination.
The large common area allows the entire group to congregate. It also permits smaller groups to engage in different activities. The large round table allows guests to eat as one group. A very well equipped kitchen makes meal preparation easy. The washer and dryer in the kitchen lets guests travel with fewer clothes.
From the Owners.
No Snow is a comfortable house on a beautiful quiet beach on Grand Cayman's north shore. It is well designed for groups and lends itself to visiting with one another, eating, playing games, or reading a book.
Our well equipped kitchen provides convenience and saves money.
Guests can stay in touch via phone and internet and stay up to date with news on the cable TV.
No Snow was a wonderful place for our family to stay when we visited Grand Cayman! We highly recommend this vacation home. It has the following qualities:
• Peaceful and relaxing
• Wonderful snorkeling within walking distance. You can do nice snorkeling right in your back yard, or if you walk a ½ mile or so down the road you can enter the water at Cayman Kai public beach and experience AWESOME snorkeling from there all the way to Rum Point. We spent hours doing this in water that had amazing visibility. We saw several sting rays, a couple of Sea Turtles, many, many varieties of amazing fish and beautiful coral.
• Quick access to the Stingray sand bar from Run Point where you can swim with and pet the stingrays.
• It is spacious and has an open family room / dining room area which lends itself well to family time. The kitchen was well equipped, with even spices provided.
• Best value. For the price we felt No Snow provided better value than other options
• Great for large groups. Beds were comfortable and there were 4 bathrooms, which was convenient.
• Large supply of bath towels and beach towels
• Don Dickey coordinates the bookings. He has personal knowledge of the house as well as the Island and is willing and able to offer helpful advice. He was fair, pleasant, responsive and accommodating.
It is our understanding that winds during certain times of the year make water activities less enjoyable and even dangerous on the North Shore, but we experienced calm weather during our stay.
Our only complaint was that the hot water supply is VERY limited in all showers except for the master bathroom. We also suggested to Don that he replace some of the linens and pillows as well as rusted curtain rods and the kayak.
We hope we have the opportunity to repeat the wonderful vacation we had in Grand Cayman, staying at No Snow.
We stayed at No Snow for a week in mid November 2012 and had a great time! We had three couples and there was room for another 3-4 people. The house, back deck and beach are so spacious that we never got in each other's way. The kitchen is large and fully equipped and we were able to prepare many of our own meals. We rented two cars and were able to explore most of the island. Rum Point is only a mile from No Snow and we had a few good meals there. We were also able to catch a trip to swim with the sting rays from Rum Point. We enthusiastically recommend No Snow.
The house is in a great location to really get away from the crowds. The pictures don't do it justice!! Lots of room and we could spread out. Loved being able to sit out back and enjoy the view of the water or snorkel right off the beach! The owners were helpful at providing additional information about the island as it was our first time visiting. We enjoyed having a big kitchen as we opted to eat in so much. This is a great house for a group of people or family & we hope to return again. HIghly recommend the Botanical Gardens & a chance to see the Blue Iguanas.
Our family had an awesome time at No Snow! It was nice being away from all the crowds but close enough to do things up at Rum Point. We loved being able to go out to our own beach to swim and snorkel. The house was well stocked with everything that you need. We had tons of room and the kitchen was great too. I would recommend this to anyone and would come back again!

It has been several years since I stayed at No Snow. At the time it was owned by the original owner whom was a bit of a pioneer. Because there were no roads to the site he barged all the building material across a small cut-through at the reef break. We used that passage to shore dive to the wall which is about a half mile out. The reef is named after that fine man (Andies Reef). From the shore to the reef break is at least a hundred yards and excellant for snorkel particularly at night. Down the road is Rum Point which had a real nice dive operation, rest, and bar. I am glad to see the new owners appreciate this location and have restored the old house. I will go back someday.
No Snow is on the north side of Grand Cayman. Generally the ocean breeze blows directly in from the sea. The balmy breeze has little pollen and is great, clean air. Snorkeling right off the beach is enjoyable. The ocean side deck lets you see the rising sun and is shaded for your comfort in the late afternoon.
