„NIRIIDES“ – short for the Nereids , a deity in Greek Mythology.
The name is matching the well-maintained surrounding and the well-designed development of the property. In Greek Mythology the „Niriides“ are sea nymphs, riding on the back of dolphins and they often accompany Poseidon, the god of the sea to entertain and be helpful to sailors.
The holiday houses NIRIIDES are situated on a well-maintained garden property, surrounded by an olive grove and just a couple of meters away from the beach of Almiri. The gracefully built small resort has 4 terraced houses in a row and 2 apartments in the basement. The basement flats cannot be booked through us. The garden and the inner courtyard are fenced by a wonderful wall making the property ideal for families with small children.
The comfortable corner terraced house with a special charm and elegant furnishings is on elevated ground floor and has a side entrance (approx. 8 steps). On the ground floor you can find the living room, the open kitchen area and a guest toilet. From the living room you have direct access to a small balcony with a view to the garden. Next to the entrance of the house there is the side terrace and the inner courtyard of the terraced houses. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms and the bath. From one of the bedrooms you have direct access to a balcony with a wonderful view of the garden and the surrounding landscape.
In the Basement of the houses is a washing room with a washing machine for the shared use of all guests. Comfortable, easy journey with public transportation from Athens airport to the destination. The accommodation can also be booked during the winter for a month's rent.

If you are looking for a convenient immersion into the quiet rural life of Greece this is for you..lots of walking destinations and close access to a lovely quiet ocean shoreline with a few pleasant restaurants and bars. Building and grounds are new and well tended..missing a few amenities such as toaster and bedroom reading lights but well located for excursions in to the countryside, historical sites and good access to "make your own" food markets and pastry coffee shops..you should rent a car to enjoy this location. Bagging toilet paper does take some adjustment from the western world but its a minor inconvenience...the owners are very accomodating and friendly..stray cats and dogs abound in rural Greece and you can make many new friends with a few scraps. Overall we enjoyed the property very much..Greece generally has poor signage and language and attitude can make driving a challenge initially until you know your way around...locals are genuine and friendly..enjoyed Loutraki for day trips.. a cost effective escape from the bedlam in Athens!
