  • There is nothing more important than a comfortable bed for a good nights sleep and a Great Vacation! We use only fine luxury high thread count linens, hypo allergenic Mattress Toppers, and our cleaning staff hangs them on the line to dry in the fresh Mountain Air when weather permits! There are two Queen Beds, One downstairs, One upstairs. There is a twin trundle bed underneath the Queen bed upstairs. We find this to be convenient when parents prefer separate beds for the children, or need beds for 3 children. Although the trundle bed is not designed to sleep adults, it is very comfortable! Each level has a full Bathroom and the downstairs bathroom has a Jetted Tub/Shower Combo.

A View Like No Other

  • 5 of 5

Me and my wife spent 5 nights at this wonderful cabin and could have stayed for a year. The view was absolutely stunning. If you are looking for a cabin with a view, this is it. The cabin was also very clean and everything in its place. We enjoyed the Hot Tub almost everyday we were there as well. Bryson City isn't too far away if you need food or groceries but far enough away that you are out of the city life. Kathleen will go out of your way to make sure all questions are answered. We will be back soon!

The place was neat, cozy and has a welcoming feel to it. It's a home away from home.

The best vacation spot we ever had! My wife and I were already planning of coming back even though we just got there. We love the place! The kids had a blast. I was able to take their eyes away from the gadgets with all the indoor and outdoor activities. The inside was clean and lovely. Has a warm, cozy and welcoming vibe to it. It has everything you need except for groceries of course. The outside is breathtaking! You are literally one with the mountains given that you're really on high ground overlooking the mountain range. The scene was amazing that you get occasional pauses just to stare it's beauty. A grill, a fire pit, a hot tub and an overlooking patio makes the outside fun and relaxing. Given a chance we'll definitely be back here in a heartbeat! Thank you Kathleen, Gina and all the staff for making our Christmas vacation a fun and meaningful one. Hope to see you all soon.

Cozy little cabin with UNBEATABLE views.

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay at Mountain Magic this past week with our two (dog) children. We were so surprised by the forest fires that were happening SO close to the cabin the entire duration of our stay. Although they did made for a beautiful show to watch from the awesome porch and hot tub, they definitely kept us on watch the whole time we were there. Luckily we made it out safely and Kathleen and her husband were very helpful in making sure we were okay.

The beds were amazingly comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the hot tub was lovely at sunset and underneath the stars. No wifi and our cell phone (major cell provider) service was horrible. It was good to disconnect and get quality time together, but just a heads up!

Highly recommend Mountain Magic!

Owner's Response: Dear Sarah, You guys were such great sports about that fire going on in the Nantahala Forest. Thankfully it was contained quickly and no real loss occurred! Maybe that had something to do with your bad cell signal, as there is a cell tower just over the mountain ridge at the end of that road. It is far enough that you cannot see the tower, but close enough that we all enjoy excellent cell service (tested cell service with the top 3 carriers and 1 minor carrier). You are welcome to come back anytime and enjoy the fresh air! Kathleen

Cabin accommodations

  • 4 of 5

Overall, the cabin was exactly as described and the views spectacular. We would stay here again.........with that said there are a few things that I would suggest to improve the space.

- The two top steps into the loft are not evenly spaced. I fell the first time going up and there were no notices or warnings

- A step stool for the bed downstairs is necessary as it is super high. My mother-in-law who is handicap had a very hard time getting in and out

- With the cool mountain air, blankets available to take outdoors would have made the experience superb. There was only 1 additional blanket and it was very small and unusable to enjoy the outdoors.

- An extra key would have been helpful. We had ourselves locked out once as the person in our party who had the key was mining.

Owner's Response: Hello Kimber, Thank You for your review of Mountain Magic. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the Views and Cabin! I took your critique to heart and I re-posted the Warning for the top step (the top step is an inch shorter than the rest of the steps). When you come back again, please open the blanket box in the living room, where you will find an assortment of blankets in all different sizes. My Mother in Law crocheted the smaller blankets for Guests to use when they are by the fire-pit (the fire warms your front, the blanket warms your back:)

Beautiful View! Wonderful cabin.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our week at the Magic Mountain cabin. The view was absolutely amazing! The cabin is only about 25 minutes from Bryson City. We were able to shop for groceries at Ingles in town there and browse the shops. I highly recommend trying out the Smoky Mountain Winery. Wine and Pizza were awesome. We also ate at the Rivers End restaurant at the Nantanhala outdoor center. It is only about 15-20 minutes south of the cabin. We drove to Cherokee, went to the casino, and then saw the Elk close to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center, they were grazing at about 5 pm. We rode the Smoky Mountain Railroad, it was so fun! As you see we were busy going and doing the whole time, but every morning and evening being able to sit on the porch and take in the breathtaking views was so wonderful! We found the cabin clean and well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. One night we played Foosball on the table upstairs and also played a board game. There are many games and movies furnished in the cabin. The peacefulness there at the cabin was greater than I have ever felt. Miss it already here back in noisy Houston area. We love North Carolina so much that we are thinking about retiring there in our own little cabin.
