Mountain Magic is the perfect place to make your own Magical Mountain Memories!
We purchased a second home in the Mountains in 2005-2005. We enjoyed our get a ways so much that in 2007 we moved here full time!
When we stood on this lot surrounded by nature and spectacular Long Range Mountain Views, we knew instantly this was the ideal place to build this cabin! Our goal was to create a romantic atmosphere that was also 'child friendly'. Many Guests that have stayed at Mountain Magic over the last few years agree, it is a success!
Rustic Modern Decor, Stone Fireplace, Fire-Pit, Fishing and Hiking. Just minutes from the Outdoor Fun, yet Peacefully Private!

Great view! Perfect cabin for our family. Would definitely go back. Made out trip complete for the polar express
My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay at Mountain Magic this past week with our two (dog) children. We were so surprised by the forest fires that were happening SO close to the cabin the entire duration of our stay. Although they did made for a beautiful show to watch from the awesome porch and hot tub, they definitely kept us on watch the whole time we were there. Luckily we made it out safely and Kathleen and her husband were very helpful in making sure we were okay.
The beds were amazingly comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the hot tub was lovely at sunset and underneath the stars. No wifi and our cell phone (major cell provider) service was horrible. It was good to disconnect and get quality time together, but just a heads up!
Highly recommend Mountain Magic!
Overall, the cabin was exactly as described and the views spectacular. We would stay here again.........with that said there are a few things that I would suggest to improve the space.
- The two top steps into the loft are not evenly spaced. I fell the first time going up and there were no notices or warnings
- A step stool for the bed downstairs is necessary as it is super high. My mother-in-law who is handicap had a very hard time getting in and out
- With the cool mountain air, blankets available to take outdoors would have made the experience superb. There was only 1 additional blanket and it was very small and unusable to enjoy the outdoors.
- An extra key would have been helpful. We had ourselves locked out once as the person in our party who had the key was mining.
We enjoyed our week at the Magic Mountain cabin. The view was absolutely amazing! The cabin is only about 25 minutes from Bryson City. We were able to shop for groceries at Ingles in town there and browse the shops. I highly recommend trying out the Smoky Mountain Winery. Wine and Pizza were awesome. We also ate at the Rivers End restaurant at the Nantanhala outdoor center. It is only about 15-20 minutes south of the cabin. We drove to Cherokee, went to the casino, and then saw the Elk close to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center, they were grazing at about 5 pm. We rode the Smoky Mountain Railroad, it was so fun! As you see we were busy going and doing the whole time, but every morning and evening being able to sit on the porch and take in the breathtaking views was so wonderful! We found the cabin clean and well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. One night we played Foosball on the table upstairs and also played a board game. There are many games and movies furnished in the cabin. The peacefulness there at the cabin was greater than I have ever felt. Miss it already here back in noisy Houston area. We love North Carolina so much that we are thinking about retiring there in our own little cabin.
If you need a nice two bedroom house with a view that is very convenient to the Nantahala River and NOC, then this cabin will be hard to beat.
Nice view of mountains. Well decorated. Very quiet. Easy to find. Within minutes of Bryson City.
