The former rural community Rempesgrün, first mentioned in 1437 as "Renntwissgrune" (later then Rempelßgrune, Rempesgrün, Rempelsgrun, Rembtpeßgrüenn), is located in today Vogtlandkreis "at" Auerbach. Together with Sorga and Hinterhain Rempesgrün was incorporated on 1 October 1923 to Auerbach and thus belongs to the current district town, as well as Mühlgrün (1912) and Brunn (1950), and later the districts Reumtengrün, Schnarrtanne with bird green, Beerheide and Rebesgrün , The so-called "landlord" had then (1551 and later) the manor Auerbach. Ecclesiastically, the place was "Pfarrt" in Auerbach in 1578. From 1930, the parish Auerbach was responsible. Rempesgrün was managed by Plauen from 1606, from 1856 by the court of Auerbach. From 1952 belonged Rempesgrün (with Fichtzig and Chrinitzleithen, which we like to collect here) as a village of Auerbach then the same district, from 1996 to the newly formed Vogtlandkreis. Very early, to the formation of the settlement, there were only a few inhabitants, 1551 there were 39. In 1834 there were already 845. In 1900, 402 hectares belonged to the "heavily parceled Waldhufendorf" and there then lived about 2000 people. Which were initially employed in agriculture, in the adjacent areas in the mining industry or in the textile industry and later in mechanical engineering. It also produced a lot of home-based work locally. Many former "embroidery" are witnesses of it. At that time, as well as today, craftsmanship is important for the town, and the region also has a lot to offer for tourists. Incidentally, we are in the low mountain range of Germany and in the western vicinity of the Ore Mountains, which border on the east, at 550 to 600 m altitude. 20km from Plauen, 14km from Reichenbach, 26km from Zwickau. We are in the Göltzschtal with the adjacent cities Falkenstein and Rodewisch, which offers a lot to see tours to Klingenthal, to Göltzschtalbrücke or in the nearby Czech Republic and Bavaria to do. The beautiful Pöhl dam, also suitable for lovers of nudist culture, is only 15 km away. By car you drive to Helmsgrün and is virtually on the beach.
