Amazing 5 star treatment
This was my best vacation ever!!! First Alan is a God send. We hired him to be our tour guide and driver for this trip. Before we arrived he patiently worked with me to set up an itinerary, despite having a lot going. He promptly picked us up from the airport. He took us to eat after a long morning of traveling, took us to the market for fresh food and then brought us to paradise! The property is gorgeous with breathtaking views all around. The photos do no justice! Alan stays on the property with his lovely family and he was very accommodating to any of our needs. We had around the clock security with the lovely, sweet Ganesha by our side. Alan brought us to the coffee plantation for the best coffee I've ever had in my life. The place was amazing! We went zip lining which was so much fun! We traveled to Manuel Antonio National Park and had the most AMAZING food from beginning to end! We stayed in a hotel close to the park for the evening and heard congo monkeys in the woods as if they were right next to us!! It was pretty cool. We had an amazing day in the national park and on the beach. I highly recommend not only booking the property but hiring the host with the most Alan!!! Thank you so much for everything it was absolutely perfect!
The stay at Alan’s House is awesome. He was very helpful. It is peaceful with a fabulous view.
Beyond my expectations
Not knowing what to expect, it was beyond my expectations. I grew up in Colorado and I marvel how people live on the precipices.
Amazing Mountain Home
This home is exactly as pictured. Alan is a wonderful host and readily available to answer questions or lend advice. The house is on a very private property, high up in the beautiful mountains of Costa Rica. Definitely rent a car and be prepared to drive along the winding mountain roads! The views are breathtaking! Most adventures are about an hour or so away, so this truly is a private location. The house does not have AC, and it certainly does not need it; the constant cool breeze keeps everything comfortable. And Ganesha, the loving, ever obedient, resident German Shepherd! She is such a love and always there to escort you up the steep drive, lounge on the porch with you, and be the perfectly polite companion. We will miss her as much as we will miss the amazing views. Alan, your property is a true gem and we wish you continued success. Pura Vida!
Costa Rica 2019
I've known Alan for several years, we both worked in a customer service industry and both left pretty much at the same time. I told him I'd be visiting as soon as possible. Once I saw the accommodations, I knew I had to visit as I've always wanted to see Costa Rica. His dad's place that he manages is a very cool place, mountainside with incredible views. Knowing Alan's ethics I knew I wouldn't be disappointed and I certainly wasn't! He helped with planning itenarary and provided transportation at a reasonable cost! We had a fantastic time that was very memorable! I personally would not book anywhere else. And I would certainly fo it again! I wouldn't change a thing! Alan is an excellent host weather for advice or providing the transportation as he did for us! Thank you Alan! Hope to see you again soon!
Thank you Webster, it was so wonderful being able to show you Costa Rica and see you and your wife enjoy this place as much as I do!! Get back here soon for round #2!
What an awesome place! Peaceful and private with beautiful mountain, sea, and San Jose vistas. Sunsets are sublime. Although we had read previous glowing reviews, the Twilight Bunker surpassed our expectations. Skeeter and Alan were exceptional hosts, willing to go the extra mile to ensure their guests have an enjoyable experience. We will be back!
So pleased to know we exceeded your expectations. You were fun guests and glad you enjoyed your stay. A lot of effort goes into keeping the property maintained so everyone has an enjoyable experience. It makes us happy when you vociferate your total satisfaction with your stay. We look forward to your return.
This property is amazing throughout the year. Commonly referred to as either Santiago or Puriscal, the land of Santiago de Puriscal is overlooked by a stunning church. The capital city is in the province of San José and is located just 12 miles west of Ciudad Colón. With an average altitude of 3,600 feet, this part of Costa Rica typically sees moderate temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, give or take 10 degrees. The lack of wind and longer green season also make it very attractive. The look at a simpler life is often serene and relaxing for those who may be used to a faster pace in a larger city.
Loads to do for all tastes, from outdoors adventures for bush explorers to total isolation for those who prefer the homely and the comfy!
