There are garden furniture on terraces with gas grill and boiler for crabs that you can use if you are lucky enough to get some fish or crabs. If the fish not bite on the hook, you'll find local delicacies food in nearest store or you can go to the famous restaurants in Bekkjarvik with local produce and hosts some of the worlds best chefs. Fishing by land or by boat can recommend. The area is one of the best in Norway for fishing and has long traditions in this field. Boats can be rented with a corresponding boatyard in the resort area. Boats of all sizes. There are many good hiking opportunities in the area, for example to Vinnesvatnet which have great coastal nature, fishing possibilities and great hiking trail for the whole family. In the river bay there is also a picnic area where it is possible to eat your lunch, or enjoy the beautiful view of the archipelago from Loddo, Austevoll's highest point. The trip is about 4.6 km and suitable for the whole family. Please ask the house owner about good hiking tips in the area. You can rent a canoe by the house owner and get close to the beautiful nature in the gorgeous 667 islands and islets. Go ashore on your own island and relax with swimming and barbecue, perfect on a hot summer day. Short distance to Storebø with delicious baked goods in the cultural bakery and a small shopping center with mostly you need. What about a day trip to Bergen with Fjord Cruise to visit the aquarium, Bryggen that stands on the UNESCO World Heritage list or perhaps a trip to the top of Bergen with Fløibanen will tempt? Or maybe you would like to visit Rosendal/Hardanger with the Baroniet from 1665, Norway's only one. In the area you can find a historic landscaped garden with over 300 years old roses, herbs and berry bushes. Day trips by car along the Hardangerfjord on national tourist roads are also an experience, especially in May and early June to see the wonderful fruit flowering between fjord and mountain. On this trip, Folgefonna, Norway's third largest glacier is also a fantastic natural experience. Another famous landmark that may be worth visiting is Preikestolen which is 604 meters above sea level with a magnificent view over Lysefjorden. Do you wish to walk up to Preikestolen, it is recommended to do this from April to October, the trip takes approx. 2-3 hours.
