☼ Sol de Mallorca 2 - Adorable apartment with pool and tennis court

We had a great time with our Children aged 6 and 8 loving the use of the pool and tennis court in particular. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and obviously work very hard to maintain their fantastic property.

A superb apartment in a quiet resort for total r and r! The apartment on the top floor is exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen not necessarily for high end cooking but totally adequate for holiday catering and does include proper sized fridge, and for the Brit traveller kettle and teapot! Comfortable beds. Efficient air con and excellent WiFi, even by the pool,so teenagers happy. Location superb...totally secluded even though it is In an area of holiday lettings and two low rise hotels. Very quiet most of the time with the occasional children playing noise from the hotel next door during the day, and some evening entertainment noise but not intrusive and certainly did did not keep us awake. Very little,passing traffic or seemingly people either....perfect! Pool a little dated ( gets the sun from 9am until about 6pm in summer) but the owners Rafael and Cati who live on site keep it spotlessly clean. Enough sun loungers for everyone , altho we didn’t see much of the other people in the other apartment, usually having the pool to ourselves. We had the top apartment which was lovely as better views, and catches morning sun and also sea breezes to help keep cool. Tennis court was great....balls and racquets provided. Lots of parking in road immediately adjacent to apartment. If you want active and wild nightlife this apt and Cala Mesquida is not the place for you. There is 1 small bar and 1beach bar....no real restaurants unless you go to the hotels...but not really the Spanish experince we were after. however 2 towns...one on coast, Cala Rajada, offers livelier nightlife and Alta, inland offers quiet relaxed dining and people watching...both an easy 10 minute drive with easy parking too. We much preferred going to Alta to eat out....lovely old town. Very small supermarket near apartment for basic needs, but on way into Cala Rajada there are 2 big supermarkets. Rafael and Cati who own the site are lovely. Nothing too much trouble. They both have excellent English which is reassuring in case something goes wrong. They keep the apartments well maintained and very clean. We booked this apartment on gut instinct...there were no reviews...and it was everything we hoped it would be and were delighted Cala Mesquida did not replicate some of the louder resorts you hear about in Majorca. This is truly a family apartment in a family friendly resort. We would def stay here again if we chose to return.

Very easy booking and great communication from agent. Rafael and Cati who look after the properrty are fantastic...very good english which is alwAys useful. Apt exactly as described. Easy to find and check in/ out. Very quiet location. Would definately stay here again.

Auch wir waren sehr zufrieden. Es ist alles gepflegt und sauber. Es waren ausreichend Handtücher UND Strandtücher vorhanden (womit wir garnicht gerechnet hatten). Wir hatten die obere Wohnung und haben besonders die Terasse sehr genossen. In der Wohnung war alles was man braucht (vor allem mit Kind die Waschmaschine!) und auch die Küche ausreichend gestattet, nicht unbedingt für das 5 Gänge Menü geeignet, aber man kommt zurecht. Als Paar mit 1-2 Kindern absolut ausreichend und bequem. Genug Stauraum. Für 4 Erwachsene fänden wir es etwas zu knapp. Der Besitzer hat am Anreisetag extra auf uns gewartet (wir kamen eine Stunde zu spät) und war täglich da, um nach dem Rechten zu sehen, ohne aufdringlich oder störend zu sein! Den Pool haben wir nicht genutzt, da wir lieber am Strand waren, aber optisch war er sehr sauber.

Einziges kleines Manko (vllt. aber auch der jetzigen Jahreszeit geschuldet) war, dass es recht feucht war und es morgens etwas nach Kanalisation gerochen hat (was durch Lüften schnell weg ging). Wir denken, dass dies im Sommer sicher anders ist. Im Ort sind 2 kleine Läden, die wirklich nur das nötigste haben, in Cala rajada (10 min mit dem Auto entfernt) gibt es aber einen LIDL und einen spanischen Supermarkt und einen Müller. Ein Auto empfehlen wir auf jeden Fall.

Wir können die Wohnung weiter empfehlen!

Wir waren 10 Tage in der Wohnung und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und hat eine tolle Größe, dafür, dass nur zwei Wohnungen und die Eigentümer sie nutzen.

Wir sind mit einem Kleinkind unterwegs gewesen und dafür hatte die Wohnung die perfekte Größe. Auch mit zwei Kindern ist es bestimmt gut auszuhalten, mit vier Erwachsenen ist die Gartenwohnung bestimmt besser geeignet.
