House not winter ready
It has been unseasonably cold in Alicante during our stay so we had to put heaters on to get warm. Unfortunately the house’s electricity isn’t capable of having two heaters on at the same time. This trips the fuse and you have to put it on again.
Coupled with this, when we arrived the blankets stank of mould, bed was really uncomfortable, the shower was broken etc.
I contacted the agent and they provided new blankets and a new shower which was great. We weren’t able to fix the electricity though so we had to be selective when we put a heater on at the same time as the oven.
The house was very clean, had good utilities like a microwave, coffee maker etc. The kettle didn’t turn off by itself though and no filter so the scales went in the tea...
For what we paid (initial cost and then extra for cleaning and electricity), it was not as good as the price suggested.
The agency was very very helpful though and tried their best to sort things. Unfortunately it didn’t save the holiday.
