About Wes Sama

Our family has been boating for years and have dreamed of getting a second home on the water. This year we finally realized that dream and purchased the cabin in Logsdon Landing.

Wes Sama purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Wes Sama chose Kentucky

We purchased this cabin at Nolin Lake because it is a beautiful lake that is perfect for water sports.

What makes this cabin unique

We enjoy tubing and wakeboarding with kids and sitting by the fire, roasting smores in the evenings!!!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We most appreciated the fire pit, three bathrooms, and the multiple seats in the living room. We most enjoyed the nightly bonfire! Such beautiful scenery

Peaceful get-away for the family.

  • 5 of 5

We were in the area for a wedding and this was a great place to stay with family for a few days. Spacious log home, peaceful, close to the lake and the kids enjoyed swimming. Nice fire pit to gather around for a bonfire in the evening. We would definitely return when we're in the area again.

property was ok but issues

  • 1 of 5

When we arrived, we were greeted by a swarm of horseflies, fine (its the woods in August). We wanted a bit off the grid. There was also a gray cat on the front porch. We had to walk our bags to the back door because the cat wanted to come inside. The moment the front door opened the cat was trying to get in. The cat was obviously in distress and meowing when following us. I called owners and their response was to throw water on the cat to make it go away. Nothing we did would deter the animal. It could jump to the upper level porch and did so whenever it heard our voices. It would meow continuously so we were unable to enjoy the fire pit or porch. We contacted animal control and a local shelter and neither would help us. We contacted owners who said they would send someone but that never happened. We had moved our trip up a day and they accommodated us but did not tell the cleaning service so our beds were unmade and the service woke us all at 6:30 am the day after we arrived. We wrote a text to say no one ever dealt with the cat and received no response. After returning home, I texted again and was told I was distasteful for texting at 10:30 and they are not responsible for "wildlife". Our issues were not addressed appropriately. I've stayed at multiple vrbo's and had wonderful experiences. This was the first that I felt "ripped off". We went there to be in the outdoors and couldn't do so because a starving animal was either sitting on my car or either of the porches. Their response was that how can we not deal with a cat. Well, because it caused great anxiety for my daughters and I to see this animal in pain. They knew the animal was there because they had dealt with it 2 weeks prior. Very disappointed.

Owner's Response: The guests notified me upon their arrival on Aug. 20th their was a cat present on the porch of the cabin. I let them know it was not ours and to let me know if it was a bother. I did not hear from them again until Aug. 22 10:33am (24hours prior to their scheduled check-out) stating that the cat had become a nuisance. I responded by 11:07am stating that I had arranged for someone to pick the cat up that same evening. I apologized it was a bother to them but that he would be able to pick it up on his way home from work that same day. There was never any mention of beds not being made upon their arrival until they requested refund of their travels. In fact the final day of their stay they text me they LOVED it at the cabin! I appreciate we all have varying degree of love for animals. However we feel our response time and our efforts to rectify the situation appropriate. We are also happy to report the cat is living with friends on a Grayson County Farm.

Great get away with our extended family. We had a blast over the 4th of July weekend.

The property was very clean and everything was how it was described online. The cabin accommodated our group easily and the owners customer service was great. When we had a problem with the oven he had it fixed in less than a day. Thanks for sharing your lake cabin.

Great long weekend

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this log cabin very much. It was just as described. I am pretty picky about beds and linens, and the towels and sheets here were absolutely clean and the beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. Note that this location is very secluded - which was perfect for us and exactly what we wanted but could be a little creepy if you're not used to the woods. Owners were very responsive to our emails. I would stay here again.
