About the property

Apartment 'Church Hill' is situated at the foot of the Mönchsberg, only a few minutes from the banks of the River Salzach. It offers picture book views towards the Old Town with dome, palace and fortress. It is a second floor apartment in a renovated 16th century townhouse (with lift) in one of the oldest parts of the city. Next to it is the old Parish Church of Muelln and the Augustiner monastery turned brewery with its unique historical beer hall and the best beergarden in town.

1130 sq ft. Apartment 'Church Hill' has two very large bedrooms with comfortable boxspring beds, a fully equipped built-in kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, oven with ceran field, microwave, Nespresso machine, toaster etc. and a 320 sq ft living/dining room with satellite tv, hifi stereo, WiFi, remote control lighting and seating for four. The bathroom offers a tub with shower as well as a bidet and there is a separate WC.

The apartment has a triple aspect with eleven (!) windows and is therefore not only spacious, but also very light and bright.

Restaurants and shopping facilities are just around the corner and so is the bus stop and the next train station so that you do not need a car to explore Salzburg and its vicinity. For those who come by car there is a large (and safe) car park behind the Augustiner brewery just 3 minutes away.

We loved this apartment. It was in a great part of town (near Old Town) and was beautiful, clean and well appointed. I highly recommend it if you are heading to Salzburg. We had a great time in Salzburg and it was made even better by staying here!

A wonderful place to stay. Very high quality furnishings, very well equipped and luxurious bedding/linens. Exceptionally clean and well looked after. Bright and airy with large elegant bedrooms and lovely living room. Modern kitchen - very well equipped. Great location - close to river for gentle stroll to rest of city.

Lovely, clean, and well-located

We stayed at Church Hill over a long weekend. The location in Mülln is close to many of Salzburg’s attractions yet quiet, and the views from the apartment are great. Church Hill is large, bright, clean, and beautifully furnished. The apartment caretaker met us at check-in and couldn’t have been more gracious and helpful; she gave us many tips and reviewed resources on-hand for travelers. We would recommend the Church Hill apartment to others!

Hard to imagine a location/unit that could better deliver the Salzburg experience. Highly recommend.

For us Salzburg is primarily a visual experience. What stood out about this fine apartment are its windows (all 11) -- looking out on variety of lovely and captivating aspects of Salzburg. It was a pleasure each morning to take in the view.

Also its location - including placement just off the river. Center city is 20-min comfortable walk/stroll along the river; Mirabell Gardens just 10 minutes away across the river.

The apartment is in excellent condition. All kitchen appliances and washing machine fully functional. Bedding comfortable and overall unit well presented. Being two couples, would ideally like two bathrooms; but one proved very workable.

The caretaker was most helpful -- both at check-in, in response to a brief electrical issue and obtaining a taxi for us on a very early morning departure.

Tourist note: We arrived Saturday evening and discovered food stores closed and little available Sunday. One open at train station 7 days a week - which is where we went by taxi and stocked up that first night.
