About Fred and Geri Pompeo

Just a couple of folks from New England yearning to move to this wonderful City of Saint Augustine.

Fred and Geri Pompeo purchased this cottage in 2004

Why Fred and Geri Pompeo chose St. Augustine

We bought in St A with the intention of retiring here someday. After debating whether to purchase at the beach or downtown we decided on downtown when we learned that you can drive and park on the sand at the beach - making it easy to go to the beach - so downtown was it. This home was picked because it was the perfect size, all rooms on one floor and so close to everything downtown that we could walk to and from places with ease. Plus it had a great front porch! It was rented full time for awhile until our daughter, when looking at colleges, figured out it was a great place to live while she attended Flagler College. So it worked out well for her. Now we visit occasionally and offer it to others to enjoy as they visit St A - until the time comes we retire here permanently.

What makes this cottage unique

A great location, perfect size and great front porch.

The house had everything we needed and there was plenty of room for the family. Easy walk to many of the historic sites and very clean.

We had a great stay in this lovely house We walked everywhere all weekend.

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for two couples for our long weekend in St. Augustine to celebrate a family birthday. We walked everywhere we went. The house is nestled amongst the beautuful buildings of Flagler College. We enjoyed breakfast at Maple St. Biscuit Company on two mornings, going to the Ice Plant, riding the pirate ship at sunset, and lots of other fun activities. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed, though we never cooked. We enjoyed coffee on the porch every morning, and we learned local history as the tour trolleys went by. We'll be back!

Spacious home in a terrific location!

  • 5 of 5

This historic property feels like a home. The house is thoughtfully furnished, well maintained, and equipped with all the amenities. We were especially pleased to find a printer to use for boarding passes.

Owners Fred and Geri were accommodating and generous hosts.

We would definitely recommend this property to our friends.

Beautiful, clean house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 3 days over our wedding weekend. The house is huge, definitely enough for 2 families. It's very clean and looked after. Kitchen is fully equipped if you decide to cook. We enjoyed our coffee and bfast every morning on the front porch. Great location as you are very close to downtown, yet tucked away from all the noise. The hosts were the friendliest and the most helpful people. They responded to my emails within an hour or so. Since our flight was late Sunday evening they let is do a late check out. I forgot my jewelry in the dresser and they sent it back to me priority shipping next day. I would definitely recommend and hopefully will have a chance to stay here again.
