We loved Casale Belforte and its owner
We stayed at this lovely property for a month with another family. At times, we were up to 15 people and always very comfortable with all the separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The property has an excellent commercial-grade kitchen, lovely bedrooms and a great swimming pool. The location is also terrific - walking distance to a sweet village and an easy drive to wonderful towns and sights of Umbria and Tuscany. The owner is gracious and takes great care of the property and is available to help guests.
We had such a wonderful stay in your lovely villa. There was plenty of room for our 13 adults, the kitchen was great for all the cooking we did and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. Everyone had a fantastic time.... The location was perfect for day-trips and sight-seeing.... So much to do in the area we could have happily stayed another week.
A beautiful house in a great location
After spending a busy week in Rome we were anticipating peace and rest in Umbria. We were not disappointed. The house and surroundings were beautiful. There was plenty of space for both of our families, in fact, we did not use all of the rooms as we spent so much time outside. The kitchen was superb, allowing us to experiment with a range of culinary delights! The supermarkets and restaurants were a short, convenient drive away. Federica, the owner, booked a restaurant for us on the first night as we arrived on a Sunday and there were no shops open. The restaurant was only 10 minutes drive up into the hills. It was obviously very popular with the locals! Although the food was good and very inexpensive, we did have to wait a long time for service and then did not get all the order which put us off going back. Citta di Castella is certainly worth a visit. However, we simply enjoyed lounging by the pool, eating and drinking and admiring the views - perfect !! The bedrooms were set away from the main house and all decorated very nicely. Although evenings in this area are cooler, the bedrooms were still very hot at night and we would have appreciated air conditioning at times. This would not put us off going again though ! All in all, we had a great time and are grateful for the help and hospitality offered by Federica - thank you!
My perfect holiday!
We have just came back from holiday and would recommend this place for everyone. The house is spacious and located in small village in beautiful surroundings. The place is close to many places of interests and it is great for nature lovers and for family gatherings. The owner was very helpful and made sure we had everything we need.
Hello Federica, It was very nice to meet you. Thanks for having Rafaelo and Sofia for horse riding. You have a great place and we hope to have the kids spend two weeks with you next year.

Museums, castles and fortresses, modern and contemporary art, artistic and historical events: the secret of Umbria’s beauty lies in the bond that Umbrians have always had with their rich and glorious past. In the Middle Ages and in the Renaissance, it was a pulsating region at the heart of Italian historical, cultural, and religious events, and its cities flourished in an extraordinary manner, accumulating an enormous wealth of artistic jewels.Umbria is a multifaceted region, able to encompass a thousand different aspects, each one perfectly balanced with the others. A region where man and nature meet, and intense spirituality lives side by side with secular pride. Every city has its own unique and yet harmonious identity, which is the result of thousands of years of civilisations: Umbrian, Etruscan and Roman, followed by the extraordinary period of the Renaissance. The most important village and town as Cortona, Assisi, Perugia, Florence, Gubbio are easy to reach from the Villa.
