Cute cabin. Enjoyed our little getaway for anniversary. Very relaxing
This is perfect house for a small group of family. The house is absolutely beautiful and it has everything we needed. Fireplace was a plus! Very cozy and peaceful. We needed a short getaway after we lost our father and this was just perfect. I'd definitely come back. Closer to mt.snow, hogback mountain, downtown etc.
We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Please come again.
We had a really nice stay. We weren't in town for any particular reason, we just wanted a relaxing weekend away and this house was perfect for that. It was clean and comfortable with a nice outdoor space. We didn't have to pack our own linens, it was all there. Hopefully we'll stay again sometime.
We spent a fabulous weekend going from the hot tub to sitting in front of the wood burning fireplace. A small bundle of firewood was provided (inside) and a small bundle of wet firewood was outside. We had to run to Shaws market to purchase numerous bundles along with kindling wood to keep the fire going. It was a very cold, very windy, snowy weekend. Without the roaring fire the house would have been on the cold side. It has a very tall ceiling, a big open space that only had one gas heater to heat the entire area. We did not want to crank the heat to 80. There was a separate heater in the bedroom which heated that space very nicely.
I was a bit surprised by some of the instructions. We found ourselves dumping buckets of water into the hot tub. We did some routine maintenance. Checking chemical levels, etc.
We were asked to vacuum the carpets and clean the bathroom upon our departure. We were asked to empty the ashes from the fireplace and dispose of them properly. We were asked to clean the inside of the fridge.
Of course I had no issues with cleaning up after myself. But scrubbing the bathroom?? We could have contacted someone to come clean up, but I wasn't sure if there might have been a fee involved for that. I think we had already paid enough for the pleasure of spending two nights there.
I checked under the couch cushions, looking to see if it was a pull out and noticed a lot of crumbs under there.
I have issues with my back on a mattress if its too soft and the mattress in the downstairs bedroom was firm enough to sleep backache free. My husband and I do a lot of traveling and finding a good mattress isn't easy.
We were hoping to see deer and maybe a moose. We were not disappointed by the deer. We saw several running through the field behind the house. No moose though.
I loved the location of this property. Off the beaten path, at the end of a dead end. Being in Vermont the roads weren't paved and our truck looked like we'd been off roading. hahaha
This would make an ideal spot to spend fall and foliage peeping.
Overall we had a wonderful experience and would recommend this property to others.
Great little VT house
Just got home from the house and wanted to share the great experience. 2 1/2 weeks - skiing, shopping and relaxing in the quiet. Everything you could want was at the house. Comfortable beds , fireplace, nice heat, hot tub and stocked with everything you could need. Washer/dryer and comfortable furniture. Sleeps 6. Nice kitchen for cooking. Had a wonderful VT vacation. Thanks for sharing this little piece of heaven.
Totally awesome home in perfect spot!
We’ve stayed in many places over the years while skiing Mt Snow, and Al’s house was by far the best! Charming, warm, solid construction; perfect open concept - pictures don’t do justice. Everything we needed! Awesome fireplace and enjoyed the deck and hot tub. Easy drive to MT Snow and our favorite taverns. Traveled with our golden retriever, being right on the golf course was perfect for him! Enjoyed the views and watching the early am deer! We were there for a 6” snow fall, road was quickly plowed and kept up with some drifting. Watching it snow was so peaceful- we will definitely be back!!
Home sits adjacent to 3rd hole of beautiful Haystack Golf Course.
Near Mt. Snow and The Hermitage Club
