About the property

The Davidson Family Farm is a gorgeous secluded Washington County home nestled on 65 acres of serene countryside. Although this charming farmhouse was built way back in 1860 as part of a dairy farm, the property's history takes us back thousands of years ago when a glacier carved the vale the Davidson Family Farm sits in.

Inside the farmhouse, all the modern amenities of home can be found including dishwasher, washer and dryer, televisions, and wireless Internet. The home boasts two full baths, one half bath, four private bedrooms and a fifth bunk room capable of accommodating six guests.

Whether your interest is exchanging the hurried pace of crowded metropolitan areas for the quiet life of the countryside, conveniently experiencing the famous attractions of Saratoga Flat Track, Lake George Village, or countless other Washington County attractions – or even celebrating a joyous wedding or family reunion – you will find what you are searching for at the Davidson Family Farm.

Beautiful Farmhouse in Serene Setting

  • 5 of 5

I rented the Davidson Family Farm for some family and friends to stay in while attending my sister's wedding in the Capital Area of NY State. Although the property is located in a lovely and remote spot, it is less than an hour to Albany, Saratoga Springs, Bennington, etc. The property was beautiful and well maintained. We slept 10 people easily. The family responded quickly and courteously to all inquiries. We really enjoyed our time at the house and would be glad to go back.

65th wedding anniversary

  • 5 of 5

My entire family enjoyed reuniting at the Davidson Family Farm! It was just the right space for 12 of us to stay and 13 more to join for the anniversary dinner. The grounds and surroundings were beautiful to explore and we had all the necessary items to host the dinner there! The screened-in porch, front porch, and spacious front lawn was ideal for great- grandchildren to run and play while adults sat comfortably visiting. Flowers were beautiful and we were allowed to cut a few for bouquets in the house! I would recommend this lovely, peaceful location for any type of reunion. The house is spacious and welcoming and hope we can return some day!

Wonderful place for a quilting retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Eight of us stayed at the Davidson Farm where we held a 3 day quilt retreat. The family was so helpful and accomodating. Emails were answered immediately. The house was very welcoming, clean, and ready for our arrival. We had a great time sewing, eating and watching the stars from the den. Deer were watching us from the cornfield as we sewed. Hope to stay again, highly recommend.

Farm Wedding

  • 5 of 5

We fell in love with the Davidson's farm after visiting numerous other venues. We couldn't be happier with our decision to host our wedding there, and we're still receiving compliments on how perfect the day was. Our families and friends primarily travelled in from upstate ny and CT, but we did the vast majority of planning from NC. Ryan and Keith were extremely responsive with answers to our hundreds of questions. They helped us find our vendors and helped make sure the property was perfect for our big day. For example, Keith made sure he knew exactly where our ceremony was going to take place , so the lawn would be cut to provide sight lines that brought the focus to our arbor. Checking in 4 days before our wedding gave us the time we needed to finish up all the DIY details. Fortunately we didn't need to do a lot of decorating because of the rustic charm in the barn. We even used wild flowers growing on the side of the road for our centerpieces. The house provided ample space for family members and our wedding party, and some guests camped out by the pond. We highly recommend the Davidson Family farm.

Truly a great Find

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed with our adult children and 12 grandkids at DFF three years in a row over the New Years Holiday. Everyone as been overjoyed that we found this place, so close to Williard Ski Mountain. A beautiful rural setting, house and property suitably maintained so as to make us feel at home and comfortable. Plenty of sleeping space, and plenty of room for family to spread out, but also large rooms for congregating. T

We have really enjoyed the wood stove, but there is a wonderful heating system, too, which is very constant in temperature.

The first time we were there, the microwave suddenly refused to work. One of the owners had a new microwave for us within hours. That is just one example of how they go out of their way to make sure everything is as it should be for their visitors.

They have made us feel like we want to know this wonderful family.

The physical location is a great choice for any season of the year because while it is very rural, it is close enough to some well known attractions such as Saratoga Performing Arts Center.and Bennington, VT. Besides the close proximity to ski areas, there is great hunting and fishing. (Battenkill River in VT, for example) Prime location for New England Fall Foliage.

Shopping in nearby Cambridge, NY and check out the co-op there.

Wedding party gathering

  • 5 of 5

We rented the Davidson Family Farm for our daughter's wedding party in June, 2013. We rented from Thursday through Sunday. It was the perfect venue for out of town guests coming in early, and for the "young folks" to be able to gather in a safe, private location before and after the wedding ceremony. Picnics, lots of food prep, lawn games, and a huge "day after wedding breakfast" for whoever wanted to stop on by before heading out of town, kept our celebration going. We'd highly recommend considering this lovely farm as an alternative to a hotel room. What better way to enjoy your friends and family in a relaxed, country atmosphere!

Several of the guests were also able to enjoy Saratoga and the Bennington and Manchester, Vt, areas during their stay!
