The choice of interior & furniture is well thought out by the owner in order to create a mountain cottage-atmosphere. You reach the town Hovden on foot. Hovden offers a beautiful natural scenery, a very rich fauna, and plenty of wild terrains in height ranges between 800 - 1.250 m.a.s.l. There are several places for swimming and fishing, and in Hartvann you can buy fishing licence and rent boats; umpteen trouts have been cought in this area. Along the river Otra there are many creeks where you can relax undisturbed. The region has many hiking paths, some of which are even suited pushchairs and wheelchairs. The skilifts also runs in the summer, bringing you quickly straight up to the mountain plateau, where the hiking conditions are unique. The winter turns Hovden inot a skiing paradies offering many downhill slopes and nice cross country tracks leading far, far away into the wild high mountain plateau.
