Christ-centered father with high family values.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2001
This location is like paradise and has tennis courts and beautiful pools and outdoor cooking available at the pool. Directly on the beach.
This drop dead gorgeous condo is 2100 SQ FT and another 1500 SQ Ft private sundeck and balcony on the top floor right on the beach. Walk to the Marriot Hotel a few doors down or to restaurants and shopping across the street.
This condo has beautiful views but it is not clean
Several maintenance issues - ripped screens , porch chairs
Faucets and plumbing problems
Biggest issue is aunts all over - bedrooms counters in kitchens and bathrooms
Linens and towels are old and should be replaced.
I wouldn't rent it again
Unlike the last reviewer we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Yes the water was turned off but a quarter turn of a ball valve solved that. I'm sure it's a security thing that I would do if it was my place. While it is an older facility, the condo was well taken care of with many very nice amenities. Communication with the owner was no problem. The balconies on two sides was awesome. We could see sunrise and sunset and the sunsets are unbelievable.
The security personnel were always very helpful and friendly. We were there off season so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Really looking forward to our next trip.
If you are looking for a COMPLETE AGGREVATION of a rental, rent Penthouse 3 at the Somerset, Marco Island, Florida. After many renting experiences over the last 20 years, I can say this has been the worst!
Communication has been terrible and lease documentation was non-existent. The owner simply insisted that our email via Home Away was adequate for our agreement. I was in a tight spot and gambled that all would be ok. Yes, the condo was real and it was ours for a week. However, upon arrival, the unit was dirty and the water was off. Once we got the water working, we spent valuable vacation time cleaning and washing bed sheets and bath towels. While laundry was in process, we took time to note broken sliding screen and glass doors to the balcony, broken window blinds and various other damaged, items throughout the unit. On day 2 of our week long vacation we were able to get the bathrooms cleaned. Of course, taking time away from outdoor spring break activities with family and friends. By the way, there was only one key...very inconvenient for our family.
Finally, it was a real challenge getting our deposit back. Since our departure from this condo on March 19, 2016 and after repeated texts, emails and phone calls our deposit was returned in June $100 short with no explanation. I have requested my remaining deposit and repeatedly attempted communication without response.
Staying in the Somerset, Marco Island, FL is great, but DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THIS for PH3.
We were very disappointed is this Condo. We have been renting on Marco at various complexes for a number of years, and never have been in such a poorly kept, run down, and dirty property before. We literally had the clean the place ourselves, put a cabinet door and drawer front back on, clean out the refrigerator, re-wash the towels and linens before we felt we could be comfortable in staying there. There was even wash yet in the washing machine from the previous renters when we arrived. I am not sure what decade the carpet was last cleaned. Most of the towels and sheets were stained and quite dated, and most of them were not even folded when they were put away, but rather in a "heap". There were a number of things in the Condo that needed attention, or needed to be fixed. Not sure why the owner does not address them...
On a positive note, the Somerset is a very nice property, and everyone was very friendly. The location and view from the 10th floor is beautiful The "side deck" was a nice feature on a couple of windy days. Overall, this Condo was probably the worst property we have ever stayed in for what we paid, again, very disappointing, and would not recommend it.
The condo had not been properly cleaned when we arrived and needs some maintenance, but is large and the extra deck is lovely. The size and deck would make it five stars, but the need for maintenance and cleaning brought down the rating. The location on the island is good and the view and access to the beach are lovely. The pools don't always get sunshine but having two of them spaces out the guests a bit. It was cool when we were there so we used the deck more than the pools.
Stayed her just last week and condo was better than described! All linens,kitchen,beds/etc. were very clean and well stocked. Utility closet has beach chairs, umbrella, and toys. The kitchen has 2 sets of matching dishes and plenty of pots, pans, etc. VRBO listing missed the dryer and wi-fi, and there are 2 pools plus 2 large grill setups as well as tennis courts on the property. The views are impressive since the balcony faces West; depending on the weather the sunsets can be beautiful! The side patio is very private and large in case you don't want to catch the sun on the beach. All in all a very enjoyable place!
